8kg Slim Top Loading Washing Machine CK8580 (UK mainland del only) [Energy Class A]

I needed something to replace a tiny washing machine that looked as if it was built in the 1970’s and sadly died. This was narrow and looked promising. It’s quite heavy but that was the only downside so far. There’s plenty of choice of programs and a 20 degree wash which I use all of the time. I like that it’s a top loader, I’ve not had one before it’s much easier to access especially if space is an issue. It’s a great washer and I’m really pleased with my purchase. It does cost more than a cheap washer here in the uk, but I couldn’t have fitted one easily in the space I had available and the 20 degree wash should keep operating costs down. So far so good, any issues and I’ll update this review.

This is an absolute bargain. It has an 8kg load so I can wash a lot of laundry at one time. Technically, it was easy to install, but in reality I struggled to get the transport bolts out and this took some time and a lot of force with a pair of pliers, as the rubber stoppers were tightly fitted. Once it was installed though, it was breeze and I had it up and running in no time. The spin cycle itself is not noisy, but the lid rattles which makes some noise. As it has such a big barrel, getting small items out of the bottom is a stretch for me as I'm quite short. All in all though, I am very happy with this machine and would definitely recommend it.

The washer is just what I wanted. It fits in a very small space which is one of the main reasons I bought this washer. It is easy to load. It washes well. It spins and empties the water just fine. It would have got the full five stars but for the noise when doing a fast spin. It sure lets you know its there so I phoned in to ask if it was normal and would I need an engineer to look at it. An engineer phoned me back and told me everything was fine and no need to worry. So overhall a great little washer but very noisy on the spin cycle.

This washing machine is amazing. Perfect fit in our very small gap in the kitchen. A great machine works better than our large machine.

I bought this top loader for a neighbour with a very small kitchen and managed to fit it easily. It is narrow and fits a small space well. The machine appears to be very robust and was really well packaged. The manufacturers own delivery driver was excellent, calling in advance and putting it where it was needed. First rate service. Simple instructions. First wash was excellent.

This is a very heavy washing machine, it is also pricey. I’ve used it three times, not on max load, but less and it made a very loud bang, something moved inside the machine and indented the metal case. It was also very loud. I had to send it back. I was grateful enough that I got a full refund. With this company you only get a refund after an engineer has inspected your returned product and confirmed the malfunctions.

Perfect for a small space but with a good size washing drum. Bought this to replace a top loader washing machine for an elderly man (91) whose last one was 40 years old. He is very pleased with it as it in easy to use and works very well. Easy to fit. Highly recommend.

Good little washer, being top loading it’s potentially just right for washing new woven wool to control felting, or anything with a need to open it to check the wash .... BUT although the adverts hint at that possibly, the fact is that you can’t open it unless you switch off at the plug and wait .... however the program is lost and its not easy to restart it. I did a easy mod on mine and now I can do start - open - look - restart perfectly without losing the program point or any safety action. Now, as the saying goes, it’s the best thing since sliced bread !Now its perfect and I don’t know why the manufacturer omits the simple switch that allows opening in wash cycle. ( oh ! damm, I dropped a sock etc....)I do recommend this product 100%, it is a very good washer in a small size.
