I had my dog in the car today, harnessed and seat belted with this, as usual. On a busy 45 mph road, a box truck pulled out in front of me and I had to hit my breaks to keep avoid a collision. My dog was thrown toward, but mostly stopped due to her harness and seat belt. She did put out a paw that hit the dash, and seemed to be favoring it a little when we were able to get out. I thought I was being overly cautious going to the emergency vet. Turns out it was a hairline fracture- just from that one push on the dash. I don’t want to imagine what would have happened if she hadn’t been held back by her seat belt.Please seat belt your pet! This product works, with the right harness.

We have a Jeep and we worried about our 40 pound dog this summer with the doors off. We purchased this seat belt to hook to her harness and it works perfectly! It allows her to sit and move around comfortably while keeping her in one area. The adjustable strap is convenient - it allows us to loosen it when we have the doors on but tighten it when we have the doors off want our dog to keep all 4 paws inside the moving vehicle.

He’s gotten out of it twice. It’s hard to tell whether that’s because he stepped on the seatbelt or it’s just not that secure. This doesn’t get short enough. We have a Subaru Legacy and he can still get his two front legs in between the seats and interfere with driving. It would be better if it could adjust smaller or shorter.
