Does not serve main purpose, unmaintainable
I purchased this pot for boiling milk safely. This objective is not solved by this pot.The initial presentation is good, but usability is Zero.The whistle got broken in 2 weeks and it is broken in such a way that it cannot be attached againThe handles become too hot and defeat the purpose - very disappointingThe pot oozes water from the whistle hole even if less water is filled and once the water oozes the bottom becomes black and looks very clumsy. Please see the photos with this review.I will not recommed this product to anyone, will not buy again.

Do not buy pigeon milk container
Product is not recommendable at all. When heated with water as instructed in the manual the outer area of the pan turned black. It also smells like when some metal is burnt. Every time I use the pan it goes more black from the outer area.

Serves its purpose
The product serves its purpose. Lets out a loud high pitch whistle audible around the house. It doesn't allow the milk to boil and spill out. The reason i gave it 3 stars1. The utensil is of 2 litres but literally one cannot boil 2 litres of milk at a time. As per instruction the utensil is to be filled till the whistle level.2. The side handles which are meant to hold the utensil gets too hot when the utensil is placed over the stove.3. The water that comes out as the temperature rises spills all over the stove thus creating another mess.Had these issues not been there the product would have been excellent. But it does serves its purpose, i.e warning the people that your milk is ready

Average Product- Design needs improvement
I am using this for the past 3 months. Product works for milk boiling. But there are some design flows which makes this an average product. Here are my observation1. It says 2 litre is the capacity. But you can handle only approximately 1 litre milk at a time without spilling2. Since it has two layer of steel, the thickness is lesser for the outer cover. So automatically it discoloures as you use it. With heat it turns in to brownish colour due to oxidizing. No rust though.3. Instruction says you need to fill water till the whistle level. But you can keep it lesser than whistle level as it starts pumps out water if you fill till the edge.4. They have plastic handle but it get heated up when boiling milk. So its not of much use and you need to use a mitten or cloth to protect from heat.5. It takes more time to boil the milk substantially.You can still buy it, if you need to boil only 1/2 litre to less than 1 litre at a time to boil. Price is less compared to others available.

Good Product, but can boil max only 1.25 liters of Milk
It is a good product, go for it. I will rate the product 4 stars, but packaging and Amazon delivery as 5 stars. Product was delivered earlier than expected delivery date.Pros:- Pigeon brand, comes with a sticker and hologram on the boiler unlike locally made products which cannot be traced as to who made them.- Good product. It is made of steel not Aluminum (Most locally made Milk Boilers are made of Aluminum). Consequently it is a bit more expensive.- I am using the boiler on a LPG gas stove and no blackening of the bottom is observed.Cons:- The Handle needs to be tightened periodically (not a major issue though)- Its capacity is only 1.8 liters, not 2 liters as specified. Since the milk level should be a tad below the whistle level, you can boil max 1.25 liters milk at one time.PS: I have been using this product from last 2 days only. So cannot comment on whistle or any other issues. Whistle worked fine last 2 days.Update on 29th Oct 2017:I have been using this product for last 2.5 months and it is extremely good. No blackening of the surface is observed. Whistle has never given any issue. Handle needs to be tightened once every 2-4 weeks depending on your usage. Overall a very good product.Update on 4th Dec 2020:I have been using this product for over 3 years now and it is still working fine. The main issue with this milk boiler is the handle which needs to be tightened with a screwdriver once every 1-3 weeks depending on your usage. Otherwise the product is good.

the quality of whistle and fitting is too bad. Leaks profusely. Has a shrill and unpleasant sound. The finishing of the cooker is too good. however components are badly designed and a very poor quality finish leading to leakages from the whistle area. Cannot boil more than 1.5 ltrs of milk. so dont be under the impression that you can boil 2 ltrs.

below average product.
I got the product with defective whistle and broken funnel. the quality of product is just ok. very thin metal sheets used and would easily bend. the whistle is poorly fitted and does not blow when heated. water used in the double layering constantly leaks out and messes up the GAS or Induction cooker.

Perfect and worth and cost friendly
Using for past one month, affordable price, seems durable and can stay long, does a perfect job that it is meant for, better than many products which is high at cost, one litre milk is boiled at ease, maximum one n quarter, water not required to be filled up to edges of whistle since can cause leakage, whistle opening should face upwards while closing.Recommended for family members hence purchased two more.Got in just one day with prime and at 505 rupees best to buy from cloud tail India.
