Good bag for price. Intend to use for long time
Would recommend these. Bought two of these. I was looking for a low temperature sleeping bag that was also lighter and compressed well. I was planning on using these for backpacking until or unless we could afford better ones. Until then, I was pleased with price point, temp level, and weight. We had a couple nights below 50 on our two week trip. These bags kept us warm without a liner. Both of us had on shirts and shorts and are cold sleepers. I am 6'2 and the bag fits me. I sleep on my back and side so moving around a lot requires repositioning the bag under you. The zipper gets stuck in fabric occasionally, usually when I was not paying attention but still an annoyance. These pack away quickly. Less than one minute to stuff and compress. The compression sack is good quality. However, both of ours have straps that broke. I contacted the vendor and was told those are not under warranty. New ones are 5 $ a piece. I will look elsewhere for compression sacks that are better quality.

Good bag, great price; not quite right for me
Good bag. Kept me warm on an April trip in Northern CA (low of 50 degrees at night). I am 5'10" and 175 pounds and this is my first mummy bag. I'm sorry to say that my long legs don't like mummy bags and I shift a lot from my sides to my stomach while sleeping. After a few hours, I used it as a "quilt" and it worked out for both nights. (I have a light foam pad and a Klymit mattress to sleep on which insulated me from the ground very well. The "quilt" kept me warm with light clothing.)The main complaint -- and it's a little one -- is that when I was packing on the morning of my trip, the stitching on the stuff sack straps came apart. One tug on the strap and boom, no more compression. This is a good value and a good bag; great price. I'll likely give it to a family member or use it as a back-up. Just not right for me.

Affordable, warm, lightweight, compact sleeping bag from a company that provides great customer service!
UPDATE: I recently received the companion bag, and again I am thrilled with the prompt delivery and quality of the bag. The two bags zip together easily; we have briefly tested the connected bags while indoors, and they are comfortable and warm while occupied by two people. The product is exactly as described: lightweight, warm, compact, and affordable.Again, I contacted customer service at Outdoor Vitals with a question/issue, and I received speedy, friendly, and competent service. Phenomenal customer service representatives (namely Brea W. - thanks Brea!) working for this company! The product was received promptly, and it is exactly as described. It is very lightweight and compact when placed in the stuff sack. The sleeping bag was used within one week of purchase in fairly cold temperatures and high winds, and it is warm and comfortable. Will be using while backpacking the AT this spring, so will follow up with an additional review after using for a longer duration. Also, I contacted the company to ask a question, and I received a prompt and friendly response. Great customer service!I have ordered the companion bag also, and I look forward to using them both very frequently during spring, summer, and fall camping and backpacking. Thanks Outdoor Vitals!

I got to test this in a fairly moderate night in the high 40's and was very comfortable. I have no doubt that I can use ...
I'm 6ft 2, all 250lbs of it. Its a tight fit on the chest but when your looking for ultralight mid-temperature sleeping bag, you have found it! I bought this over the summer trying to lighten the load in my pack a bit, that's another story but back to this bag. I got to test this in a fairly moderate night in the high 40's and was very comfortable. I have no doubt that I can use this in the low 40's and possibly high 30's maybe with some thicker layers on but at that temp, I use down bags. The reason why I gave this 4 stars is one, not every hiker is as "Fat" as me, I do like drinking beer after all, but I also know that I am seeking the lightest bag possible for mid temps here in Texas and I have found this bag to be very good as far as stored volume and lightness. Great bag, you will not be disappointed, and if you are, you shouldn't be hiking/camping! lol

I didn't want to risk using a untested sleeping bag on the trek so I purchased one and gave it a try over a long weekend of cool weather camping
I bought one of the Outdoor Vital sleeping bags (Orange one) because of the temperature rating (35 degrees), compressibility and weight. My son and I were planning on a trip to Philmont where we would need a lightweight, warmer sleeping bag for 2 weeks of use. I didn't want to risk using a untested sleeping bag on the trek so I purchased one and gave it a try over a long weekend of cool weather camping. I ended up purchasing the blue one for my son and we used both on our 2 week trek. Great for backpacking and doesn't take up much space. Durable and kept us warm in all climates in New Mexico. Since our trip we have used the bags on a few other weekend backpacking and camping trips and they perform well. Philmont tested and Philmont approved. Great product for a great value. I just purchased a 3rd bag as a Christmas gift for my nephew who just started his scouting career.

Great Value
I bought one of each a couple weeks ago and it showed up the day of leaving on a trip with my girlfriend so I was excited to almost immediately able test them out. The bags are fairly light and compress down easy. We used them as the connecting double bag set up which was easy to zip together. It was at first a little awkward having separate foot boxes but you get over it quick. The material is very soft and the bags are comfortable. It did get pretty cold that night, maybe down to about 35 and we were right by the creek. I did become uncomfortably cold in the early morning however I was only wearing boxers and after busting out my sleeping bag reactor was fine. I probably would have been fine without the reactor had I been sealed up in full mummy bag mode as opposed to the double bag set up where we were kind of spread out and there was more space for cold air to get in. Overall excellent product so far and the price is unbeatable.
