PROSLAT10033 Horizontal Bike Hook, Silver

Would be a great bike hook, even worth the somewhat high price, except that it extends and holds the bike WAY too far out from the wall. There's at least a wasted foot (12") between the bike pedals (the widest part of the bike) and the wall...space which is now wasted because it's inaccessible.If they made the arms that reach past the shelf portion of the hook even just 6" shorter then it would be a great product.

I bought four of these, and all four had the same issue. The bracket is welded onto the backplate at a noticeable angle, sometimes right sometimes left. When a bike hangs on the rack, the slant is even more obvious. These are sturdy and definitely do the job, but I'm annoyed at having so carefully ensured my slats were perfectly level only to have the bike racks themselves be slanted. For such an expensive hook I expect better quality control.

Purchased 2 mounts for adult bikes (see picture). It doesn’t handle the women’s slant well; the first time I mounted it the entire thing snapped and the bike came off of the wall. The hinged piece is not secured with welding; it’s held in with pressure. I was able to fix it and it’s held up for a few weeks now.You need to mount this at least 3 slats above the bottom of your wall. It won’t brace otherwise.

If you set up your slats right then this is a viable product. It juts out a good amount so be careful if you have a vehicle in a small garage.
