i have not had to tighten it , it shill works good.

Which hand (right or left) is the one that is use to take the bow and which is use to pull the string?

The pictures show the left hand holding the bow with the right hand pulling the string. Now having said that, I purchased this for my daughter who happens to be left-handed and my other daughter, who is right-handed, pulled it back and they both report what I would recommend. I recommend this; pull whichever is most comfortable for the archer. My left-handed daughter pulls the string with her left hand but uses a mouse with her right. My right-handed daughter pulls with the right but golfs with the left. I tried it and can pull with both, it takes practice to learn how to quickly invert the process or make the switch. This particular bow seems to be universal to either dominate hand. Hope this helps.

are the arrows metal? could they hurt someone?

Any Bow, improperly used, can hurt someone. The arrows are fiberglass with very blunt metal tips. It is not a strong bow but a teenager could hurt a dog or their sibling/parent with it.

is this a right or left hand or can it be used for both?

My son says its for a right handed person and he doesn't believe you could use it if you're left handed
