This locking guitar strap is great - nicer than one I bought previously from a different company. I have this on a 1973 Les Paul Custom and there’s no rubbing or issues unclipppng.

No more buying locking posts and latches. I used this on most my guitars (some have already been converted to the post/latch set-up). I am confident that it will stay secure during jam sessions.

I'm pretty sure Amazon sent me a used/returned strap, because it wasn't in a package and it kind of had a smokey odor to it. Aside from that, the strap works and feels fine. The clips are plastic, not metal, for anyone wondering. I'm using it on a Jim Root Telecaster and it seems to hold just fine. I feel like the springs could have a little more tension to make it better, but so far so good.

This strap is so simple and elegant in its design, form, and function, that I'm just shocked I didn't discover it years ago. I'll be getting one of these for each and every one of my instruments. It's so ridiculously quick to pop on, and a pop off. Add to that that it locks in place, and you've got an absolute winner of a strap. Shear genius. Nice for vegans and vegetarians too because there's no leather or other animal skin as part of the strap.

This is a decent basic guitar strap. It's well made, light weight, highly adjustable, unobtrusive, and is not covered with any over the top logo graffiti like, say an Ernie Ball poly strap with the gold embossed Ernie Ball trademark on one end. The vig, of course, would be the quick release locking attachment fittings which work quite well with the one exception others have noted. They will not work on guitars where one of the attachment points is facing the back of the guitar, as on an ES-335 for example. You cannot simply turn one of the fittings around as they are sewn in. D'Addario should make different versions for different guitars. They don't. The end fittings are plastic which I am ok with (metal could end up scratching up your instrument) and D'Addario even put some soft material on the insides of the fittings to prevent that very thing. The same does not apply to the wearer however. These straps (poly web version) will dig into your neck if you let them. D'Addario does offer the straps in different materials which would obviously affect the rating. As it is, I can only give these straps 3 stars because of the comfort and fitment issue noted above and because the strength and longevity of the plastic end pieces remains to be seen.
