Allnice Digital Caliper 6 Inch, Stainless Steel Caliper Measuring Tool Electronic Vernier Caliper Micrometer with LCD Digits Display, Inch/mm Conversion

I went to use these digital calipers to measure a few things after not using them for a few months only to find that the battery went dead in the interim. Good thing this comes with several batteries and a screwdriver. I would prefer a physical switch to turn it off over a button that just turns off the display but still drains the battery.The screws on the battery cover are tiny and easily pop out, which makes removing the cover a little bit trickier to do. The battery should be behind an accessible slide drawer, not behind a cover secured with screws. If I were an engineer, it's the little things like these that would drive me up a wall. Fortunately, I don't need to use this tool except on occasion but having to put in and take out a battery every time I use it is very annoying.The motion of the calipers is somewhat "grainy" kind of like writing with a pencil - for lack of a better description. However, for a $20 product I'm also not expecting the best engineering tool ever. It works and zeroes out. I don't have any standardized measurement blocks to validate accuracy but I only need reasonably accurate ballpark numbers that are better than what a ruler can measure. Millimeter display is the best feature of this device. The battery drain issue is the worst feature.

These are my first pair of calipers. I have not used them much but they work very well especially for use in 3d printing. Before this I was using a ruler which isn't as easy especially for cad. I love the depth feature which I found I may actually be able to use it to draw perfectly straight lines that are also accurate in length. The case is decent and is made from a hard plastic im guessing abs. It's The case is perfect for me but depending on your preference you may want a different case. A nice bonus I didn't see mentioned or I overlooked is I got 3 batteries included so I didn't have to go out and purchase some batteries.

These work great after a couple little tips. 1st the battery was almost dead so I bought more off of Amazon. 2nd I had to take the slop out of the adjuster. They are accurate now. Was a easy adjustment and they give you the screwdriver to do it

I like it. Solidly built, easy to use, and seems accurate based on the few times Ive used it. Good tool to have in the toolbox.

I am not confident in the accuracy of this item but I have only used it for one measurement. It is a decent quality so time will tell and I need to find a control piece to compare to.

GREAT ITEM WITH A PRICE THAT'S GREAT.

At this price you can't beat the quality and bonus you get with it. The peice comes with a nice durable case. Also comes with extra batteries and a small screwdriver to open battery compartment. The is a total steal at this price. Must get for the price.

This caliper is great for 3d printing and various mechanical measuring needs. The build is good, the cost was great and it seems very accurate. The metal is a little rough so if you're using it for high precision this may not be the best option.

the quality of construction was excellent.. and accuracy was also excellent.. because of the " ALL metal " construction.. which is very nice.. they where a lot heavier than my old ones... not really a bad thing.. but the ad says made from stainless steel.. well ..they are made of a lower quality stainless steel.. which again is not really a bad thing.. kinda thought or hoped, they might be pure stainless , because I do at times need to measure a magnet..And that is how you tell good stainless from lower grade stainless... a magnet test.. if the magnet sticks then poor stainless... if it does not stick... then good stainless..It is like people who buy a real nice stainless fridge... and then put fridge magnets all over it...

The only downside to these calipers is if you plan to use them to scribe marks. Like most stainless steel they aren't hardened, and the tips can bend. Other than that I highly recommend them to anybody looking for accurate measurements.
