SteelSeries Siberia USB Sound Card (White)

I plugged it in, I started FL Studio and I got better latency times than I got with the (terrible) onboard soundcard I had on my extra computer. It's a real time saver to be able to use all the computers in the house to jot down musical ideas. I know this sound card is for video games but the sound is much better than the onboard sound in all but one of my four computers, and that's without installing the included software or drivers. I'm trully impressed. Can't say how it works for games but it a great portable soundcard to me. The cords a little long, that's about my only gripe with it.

This usb sound card is amazing. I am pairing it with my white Siberia V2 headphones I just got from Amazon as well. Make sure you visit [...] to get drivers installed to take advantage of advanced features.Some of the benefits of using a usb sound-card are a clean digital sound with no "hiss" that comes from plugging headphones into an on-board system. Also using a usb card reducing CPU utilization because all the sound processing is done on the little device with it's build in processor.

Personally, I am a huge fan of SteelSeries. I have a Siberia v2 as well as a QCK mousepad.They are great products, but I expected a lot more from than this. When I first received the product, I was really excited. I have heard that this had great reviews and that it would be a great product.First however, the packaging was pretty bad. The outside looked great, but the soundcard was personally not placed very well. The sides were coming apart as well.Second, the product was defective on arrival. It didn't work. The bass didn't come out, and my mic was not functional.Third, the quality isn't that special. My friend had one but I had never tried it, but once I did, it was barely different from my motherboard's soundcard.Overall, it does what it describes. So I had to give it 4 stars. But the quality was pretty bad. It is pretty good for cracked jacks or a broken inner soundcard. Personally, I suggest a PCI soundcard.4/5 stars. A very generous review for a DOA product.

I purchased this product from amazon seller zone 8. I received the product in a white envelope. Strange right? YES IT IS! The envelope contained a usb cable, and a small square jewelry box. NO STEELSERIES BOX! NO STEELSERIES CD! The product doesn't even have the correct indications of mute, microphone or +/- sound! This item is obviously a fake counterfeit like the ones you see on ebay selling for 15$!!! the ONLY reason I bought this on amazon was to AVOID a fake product! As soon as I tried to use it, I knew I got swindled. The usb CONSTANTLY connects and then disconnects! I can not speak for the REAL item as I did not receive the legitimate SteelSeries USB sound card, however I can now say I do not trust amazon any more than ebay to sell me some fake knock off chinese crap. I will NOT be going through the trouble of buying the REAL product either, as most people seem to have different issues with it. DO NOT BUY FROM ZONE 8 THEY ARE NOT CONCERNED WITH WHAT THEY SELL AS LONG AS YOU GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. STILL WAITING TO HEAR BACK AFTER SUBMITTING REQUEST TO RETURN.

40 bucks. And what I get is something that makes me sound robotic every time I use it. Of course, that's only for a little bit and I have to mute myself and then unmute and ask if I don't sound like a robot. I don't know if it's just my mac or whatever, however paying $40 and getting an item that sort of works sometimes doesn't justify it. The support for it is abysmal as well, no solutions on anything, just the usual: the problem is not our problem, but your computer type of ideology. Anyways, I'm not going to rant, but I am just going to keep using it because I already paid so much for it.

I purchased this item because my current sound card (ASUS Essence STX) doesn't allow both microphone and speaker sounds to transmit when you are streaming on Twitch.tv. Regardless of the software I used to stream, it seemed to be a ASUS problem, hence the reason why I bought this USB sound card.The sound quality of this card is good, not as great as the ASUS but that wasn't what I expected to begin with. For streaming, the card works great, it allowed my twitch.tv stream to have both my microphone input and game output heard on my stream. However, the only problem I have with this card isn't even the card itself, it is the USB cable that comes with it. SteelSeries provides a very cheaply made USB cable with this sound card, that causes the card to keep disconnecting and reconnecting with the slightest move in the cable. The problem was fixed by using another USB cable that came with my TomTom GPS, and the card didn't reconnect again after changing the cables. For a company who marks up their products a decent amount because of their name, I would expect a decent cable to be provided with the product... this is the only reason why I gave the review 3 stars rather than 4/5 stars.

I originally bought this for my Siberia 2 headset but once I got it and tried it with other headsets I found that it really has amazing quality. Not only does it boost my volume and give me virtual 7.1 surround, its portable! I take it with me between work and home and I already have a co-worker ordering one. LOVE IT!! Get it! Stop thinking about it and just do it!

I use this Steelseries "mute button" everyday and the sound quality improvement is a bonus. It reduces the grain and sharp volume of my OEM PC to a milder hush.I can now mute on the fly because my mechanical keyboard doesn't have media controls. I am a Steelseries supporter and this is my 3rd product I've purchased.
