The straps a long they must have heard their customers. I put this on my 2019 Toyota Tundra and it fit great with strap length to spare. I was at first Hesitant to order because if the length issue, but I notice on the listing it show “newly extended straps - 24”, so I took a chance and ordered. Glad I did. I will be using it for my fishing poles as they hang over the tailgate. Check out the photos as to how well it fits.

I don't know what to say about this other than its a confusing bunch of straps that are too short to go around the tail gate. It didn't come with any instructions or information as to how to use it or how to put it on. I am very glad I didnt waste more money on this. The padding part is also extremely small so it couldn't protect much I suspect even if it had great installation instructions. It was pretty much useless other than to help tie down our bikes so they wouldnt fall over. (Didnt do too great at that either they both ended up falling over)

Does not fit newer trucks specifically 2019 Silverado. The tailgates of newer trucks are thicker and taller so the straps are not long enough.

Works for my surfboards just like I thought it would, I only wish is that the padding was more substantial.

Used this on our way up to a mountain bike park a few hours away... so easy to use and KEY when hauling your bikes back and forth. Super easy to set up and secured our bikes well!! Didn't bat an eye when cruising fast on the highway!!

excellent product I highly recommend

Good build and sturdy. Only problem is there is no support point in the middle. If i put two boards side by side there is no secure point in the middle to stop the boards from hitting each other
