The Terror Assaulter (O.M.W.O.T) Paperback – September 22, 2015

In this case the acronym O.M.W.O.T. stands for “one man war on terror”, and is sort of a sixties throwback to the days of U.N.C.L.E. and S.H.I.E.L.D. where acronyms were all the rage. This story is one of the most bizarre send-ups of the terrorism, hyper-action genre that I have ever read. At first, I just thought it was ridiculous and stupid, but the more I read the more it grew on me - the humor stood up and waved and I was sucked in.The plot goes that a group of disavowed ultra-violent agents, called Terror Assaulters, are unleashed on a world rife with terrorism. There are four tales here and they get increasingly bizarre. The first one almost seems standard, O.M.W.O.T. goes undercover to get some stolen information, ends up killing everyone and doesn’t recover it, but bangs a hot woman in the end. The ridiculous violence is everywhere in the story, but after this it goes off the rails.This book is an absurdist reaction to the War on Terror from the early 2000s. The action is deliberately ridiculous and made to put the real world into perspective. Adding to the absurdity is all the expository dialogue. Many of the characters scream out what is being shown in the scene. “Ahh, you’ve cut my throat and killed me.” “You shot my arms off.”

This is where i have to write out a description of what i think of this comic. I will tell you now what i think of this comic. I think think comic is worth more money and more time. You have read my words now go read this comic. Don’t thank me that the creator, thank Benjamin Marra.

This is one of the most over the top bonkers comic books I've ever read, and I've read my share of crazy ones. It's almost like an 8 -year-old boy was locked in a room to watch action films and porn for a month, and was told to write a comic book story. The mayhem, violence, sex, guns, and explosions are more action-packed than anything you'll experience. The sex scenes are written as if someone has only heard about having sex with crazy dialogue like, "My penis is inside you now! I am ejaculating on your butt!" So funny. Definitely one to hide from the kids, though.

The forever speaking thoughts that are not normally said starts out as a funny quirk to the story but it gets old and begins to grate on my nerves. Plus the artists depiction of cars doesn't match with the otherwise better than average art. If you can tolerate those two things there is some good comedy here.

It's that good. You will live the primal energy of TERROR ASSAULTER. You have never seen a movie like this, EVER IN YOUR LIFE! When you read this book, you forget you are reading a book and you live the greatest action movie ever put inside your brain. LIVE LIFE TO THE MAX! Read this book fifty times and then call your Mom and tell her about it.

Not for the faint of heart, _Terror Assaulter_ is a 100% over-the-top tour de force, at once preposterous, gratuitous, ingenious, and hilarious, with often breathtaking (and lush, and jaw-droppingly violent) visuals. A tribute to and parody of Jack Kirby's Vietnam-era O.M.A.C. (One Man Army Corps), Ben Marra's book is the perfect holiday gift for your... a certain kind of person who would like this sort of thing. Who will _love it_.

This is one of those books that is too good. It worries me that i'm missing out on reading more comics.

I absolutely love Marra's work. You'll need a dark sense of humour to enjoy this one. Amazing art style and laugh out loud OTT moments you'll never forget. Brilliant!
