First Impressions are Great
For years, I've been using a Logitech M570 trackball. I hated wired mice, thought they were too messy and not at all worth the trouble if I had to move my wrist to the point that it started to ache after a few minutes, so the wireless trackball mouse was perfect...for a time. That mouse, while perfect for hours on end of browsing, reading, or office work, didn't fit well with my gaming needs and left me at a severe disadvantage in MMOs (though I'm pleased to say I did relatively well in them anyway). That mouse stopped working with my laptop--incompatible drivers? registry issues? I'm still not sure what the issue is--but it gave me a reason to look at the current market for gaming mice.If I wasn't going to get a trackball, I saw no reason to focus on wireless and spend at least $10 more than I had to. At the same time, I needed something that would fit ergonomically, that looked nice, and that would be very responsive to little touches. The more sensitive, the better...but there comes a point that a twitch would send my cursor flying to the edge of the screen, and that seems like a bit of overkill, honestly.APPEARANCE:The mouse is exactly as it looks in the pictures, with a nice black matte finish that matches my laptop perfectly (ROG g751 series). The USB fits snugly, which is a small comfort since I don't have to worry about the slightest tug pulling the mouse out. Its finger grooves are designed with larger hands in mind, but I'm used to having mice that vastly outsize my palm and fingers; at this point, a mouse designed for my hand size would feel way too small to be of any use. The sleek glossy piece with what looks like a cyberpunk stylized barcode matches with the little touches on my laptop (especially the ROG symbol stylization) which is definitely a plus for me. I know it's gimmicky, but I love being able to change the LEDs in the mouse depending on my mood, and the breathing effect is a very nice touch. Aesthetic is definitely a big part of my decision. I mostly shift it from red to light blue, breathing, depending on whether or not I'm wearing headphones or have the backlight on in my keyboard. It seems to scream "I am gamer, hear me roar."The only small complaint I have here is that the yellow LED seems awfully green to me, near the palm. This could be a result of the plastic, but...it's still a shame. Luckily, I don't go to yellow very often.UTILITY:It's a mouse. An input device. Without the weights it doesn't feel flimsy, but they certainly help keep the mouse from moving all over the place. They, well, weigh it down. They do their job. I keep all weights in to replicate the weight of the trackball as much as I can, and after experimenting with the DPI settings settled on 5500, which makes it a bit easier on my wrist without the cursor flying away. There was no delay from what I could tell between switching DPI settings, and all buttons functioned as intended. I might not be getting much use out of the FIRE button (double click or triple click) but that has more to do with how I play and what I play. I could see it saving a lot of time in games like World of Tanks, keeping "activation" and "fire" at different designated points of the mouse. The braided cable is a nice touch and definitely makes me feel more secure in the wire's longevity, and the velcro strap definitely helps with wire management, which is especially nice. It's good to have the option if I need the mouse to be a bit further from my laptop than a handful of inches, letting me adjust to whatever distance or however much cable I really need. The only time I noticed a tracking issue was when I (jokingly) put the mouse on my dog's back while he lay next to me, and even then the cursor only sputtered a little before figuring out where I wanted it to go.COMFORT:I have to admit, my smaller hand size probably has me holding the mouse differently than most people. I've found it's comfortable with my fingers in each groove and my little finger resting against the right-most curve, but it's more comfortable if I have my middle finger resting above the scroll wheel. It took me a few minutes to adjust to the weight and feel of it, but once I did...well, I have no complaints. My hand sits comfortably on the mouse, my grip ( a mix of palm and claw) feels natural, and it's easy to keep undue stress off of my wrist, which is kind of the point of the design. The thumb groove is a nice touch, so I don't have to worry about it dragging the mouse when I want to move it.MISCELLANEOUS:The mouse buttons have the same "tacky" feeling of my laptop's keyboards, which is fantastic. It gives just enough to feel responsive without making it seem like I have to press too hard to be exhausting. The box it came in was cute, and the instruction manual was...lackluster. Basic. It had information, but little more than you'd find looking it up on Amazon. It explained everything it needed to, I suppose, so perhaps greater depth isn't entirely necessary, and the diagrams were very self-explanatory. (Really, it's only there if you have any last-minute questions of "but wait, where is this feature?")There isn't built-in driver support to let you assign functions to different buttons, but that isn't a problem for me since I prefer tinkering with controls in-game on a game-by-game basis and don't worry about changing non-game settings.OVERALL:I adore this mouse. It fits my requirements of looking nice, feeling nice, and responding nicely to my movements in a way that doesn't give me whiplash. It has little perks I never really thought about (the weights, DPI switching, breathing and adjustable LEDs, a braided cord) that I don't see myself living without when I go to buy another mouse in the future. It serves a different purpose than my M570 trackball, so the two can't really be compared, but I'm every bit as satisfied with this mouse as I was with that one.

cheap mouse that looks good, then this is definitely the one you want ...
If you're looking for a decent, cheap mouse that looks good, then this is definitely the one you want to use. It has the bonus of it's added weights, which is nice if you really want to customize your mouse feel. With all the color modes, you can make it match anything you want. Plenty of DPI settings, but really, the higher ones are almost unusable because they move so fast, but if you're into that then great. I would like to clarify to people people you purchase this: there are only TWO programmable buttons. If you're using this as a gamer and need a good selection of buttons I'd suggest looking elsewhere. It's also very easy to hit the color button on accident, which really isn't that big of a deal. Right next to the Left Mouse Button is the "Fire" button, that will quickly double- or triple-click the left mouse button (depending on your setting). I guess this would be useful for anyone playing FPS category games, but it isn't really practical for much else. For the price however, I don't think you'll really find much better.

Great purchase
This mouse vastly exceeded my expectations. I got this during the black friday sale at an amazing peice. I expected a cheap mouse considering the price I paid for it, but I was wrong. To begin with, the mouse came in a nice box, that explained every function of the mouse, and how to properly use the buttons of the mouse. When I first used the mouse it felt uncomfortable in my hand and I had trouble finding the right way to rest my thumb, but after the first fifteen minutes, it felt great, I have my tub sitting on it perfectly with no hand fatigue, and my old 'normal' mouse was extremely uncomfortable in my hand. The color function of the mouse is awesome, and I was happy to see that the lights turned off on their own when the computer goes into sleep mode so there is no worries if you forget to turn them off. I experimented with the weights before deciding that I felt most comfortable with all of the weights in there. The mouse works excellent on my wooden desk, or with a mousepad. I also tested it on fleece and cotton fabrics and it performed perfectly on those as well. The DPI settings are fantastic, as I can quickly turn them up and down as I please depending on what I am doing, different games, typing / spreadsheets, or browsing the web. The braided cord on the mouse is also a fantastic touch, and makes an already sickly awesome looking mouse even more awesome. Another great thing is the mouse is plug and play, no hassle at all. I unplugged the old mouse, plugged this one in, and instantly got to experimenting with it. I am overly impressed with this mouse, especially for the price. Had I had this in my hands at a store, I would have easily paid $30 or $40 for this without hesitating. If you are considering this mouse, go for it, you will not be disapointed, and if you are, send it to me, I would gladly take another one. Easily 5 stars because I cannot find a single flaw with the item, and it is even better than expected.

Lasted for 2 weeks.
Again had the joy to buy a very good gaming mouse for under 20 dollars, those who have problems with the items are special cases (maybe the package took some falls on the way or something) But it works perfectly totally compatible and the mouse itself its very good for the price. Highly recommend it!EDIT: After like 2 weeks of use the mouse just went fully idle , tried everything to get it to work again without success. Completed the return with amazon and went to Buy a Logitech G502 Proteus. I was sad bout it because the mouse was great over all everything mechanical was on point, but the hardware/software has something wrong. I hope they can get it fixed.
