This texturizer is the holy grail. It will work like a relaxer so don’t expect to leave it in your hair for a long time. It leaves your hair soft but I recommend doing a protein treatment afterwards just to help strengthen it after the chemical processing. This picture of my hair was after it was texturized and styled. This is the only brand I trust for this . 10/10!

I decided to leave a review since there aren't too many out there and I think that reviews are really helpful when it comes to making a decision on whether or not to purchase something. With that being said, I am going to give you all of the vital information. Number 1, this is a relaxer. This is marketed as a tex-lax, but make no mistake, if you take too long applying this product, you will over process your hair. This is why I knocked a star off. I was under the impression that I'd have a lot of time to get this in my hair without worrying about processing, but you are instructed to apply no longer than 5-10 mins, depending on your hair texture. A regular relaxer will also tex-lax your hair if you slap it in for 5 mins and rinse it out. Also, do not use this if you have bleached hair. I think we all know that relaxer should not go on top of bleach, but in case you thought otherwise because this is a "gentle" product, think again. The ends of my hair were a little bleached from a color job done a while ago and they are completely fried. I knew this going in and it's only about an inch of hair, so I was prepared. If a lot of your hair is bleached and you don't want to lose it, skip this and grow your hair out until you're ready. The conditioner was OK- not great and the relaxer was surprisingly difficult to wash out. I'm talking 5 washes or so to remove all traces (and I have great water pressure :-)) Overall, my hair came out great! I have my texture, integrity seems in tact, and my hair is more manageable. It's worth buying, but you can definitely achieve the same results by using a regular relaxer and diluting it with conditioner or oil- that might even buy you more application time, actually.

I have been wearing my natural hair in complete protective styles with no leave out for a year and a half. So my 4c texture was really prominent. I felt my hair to be unmanageable and with many tangles even when I combed through and detangled the hair very well. I want to do a kinky straight or kinky curly wavy leave out. I tried this texturizer and left it on for 20 min. My hair turned out so lovely. My curl pattern is intact, and my hair is so much softer and easier to blend when heat is applied

I ordered 2 kits the first time to use for a virgin application. When my hair is straighten it’s past bra strap length so it’s a lot and I wanted to make sure I had enough. 1 was enough but I’m glad I had an extra tub ready and I did use some but 1 would have been fine. I like what i did to my hair. If you see it I still look natural it just softened the coarseness of my hair.if you want your curls to have integrity, Do not smooth a lot; that will straight the curl.. try to apply to the length quickly before loosing starts and slightly stretch but NOT like how you would for a traditional relaxer or you won’t have defined curls.Those kits were perfectly fine. The 3rd kit ordered 2 months later did NOT have the neutralizing wash! Instead there were two step 5 conditioners. This could have been very bad if I didn’t have an unfinished step 4 wash and neutralizing shampoo from another brand. Even if I had it it had to be right there and ready to use nit something I have to look for. So make sure all the steps are included especially 1-4 before trying to process your hair.Idk how these sets are made but again, mine was missing an important step 4, the neutralizing wash.

I have 4C hair. I left it on for 14 minutes. Total time, including application. It did loosen my curl pattern. I feel the curls are more noticeable. In six months or so I intend to do it again, and leave it in a little longer.

It softened my curls, but I hate that it’s not far from an actual perm. I’d give it 5 stars because I can straighten my hair & it last compared to my natural hair. I just wish it was another alternative, with less chemicals but more curls

Hi guys, it good if you want texlaxed hair. If you want result like ig: @_ecoop then leave on for 20mins for 4C hair. I left mine on for 15 mins and it’s basically my natural texture but softer and easier to comb xx

Left it for a recommended 7 minutes didn't do anything my hair is still tangled and unmanageable.

This I a product that I need for my hair maintenance it is fantastic but hard purchase.

Slow to send it was meant toCome a in a weekInstead I had to contact the sender was 2 weeks later ,The tax lax it’s self is ok it didn’t last long only 3 weeks I have combined mixed race hair not Afro just wanted to get the fizz away and keep my curls but not as tight to loosesm my curls it I did the job but wash s out fast
