Fard Pistachio Nougat,16 Oz (In Flour)

Tastes awesome!! Took me many years to find out what this treat is called, as I had tasted it as a child 30 yrs ago.Man o man...it was a trip down the memory lane.Somehow human brain remembers tastes that old!!Didn't know what the white powder was until I read the box again. Need to dust the flour off the candies before biting into it!!Also, it gets dry and rock hard if left in open.Will definitely order again!!Thank you fard!! God bless you.

I was introduced to gaz back in the 80's from a Persian friend when I was overseas. I so enjoyed it. I found it on Amazon and thought to give it a try and brought back memories of the good times spent with my friend. Just like I remembered. You must like the essence of rosewater. It is soft and chewy with just enough pistachios nestled in flour just like back then. It is a softer version of tarrone with rosewater flavor. Will buy again.

Came opened with flour pouring out of box - this was supposed to be 2 boxes and both were opened and stacked together - VERY DISAPPOINTING ANS NOT RETURNABLE!!

Handmade and packed and flour the traditional way. Nice and chewy and dense, not pillowy. Sweet but not sickening sweet. Can't taste the rose water very well. Does not have a lot of pistachios. I would rate it 5 stars if there were double the pistachios. I wish I had weighed the package when I got it, I feel it was a good value for the money, it seemed as if I got twice the amount of candies in weight than I have in other boxes of gaz. Made with glucose, not tree sap. I would buy it again.

The product was in a silver not gold container and the pistachio nougat (gaz) had very little flavor. I started to not feel well and looked at the label and realized that the first ingredient was corn syrup and I’m allergic to it. Luckily I did not have a serious reaction to it. Is it just me or has the manufacturing process changed? I don’t remember gaz having corn syrup in it. It also had a more solid, distinct flavor that was wonderful. Now, it’s bland and definitely does not have the same aroma or ingredients that I have seen when I was able to buy locally. I grew up enjoying this treat and am completely disappointed. Not worth the $$!!

It got pretty banged up in transit and since the candies are stored in flour, there were flour clouds everywhere when i went to open the Amazon envelope. I cant get this where i live so I really wanted to keep the tin as a souvenir... but i cant pop it back into place without warping it worse. The candy itself is dense and chewy, like nougat or like a gum that slowly dissolves in your mouth. it's the slightest bit perfumed and its very sweet. My favorite part is the pistachios and one piece more than enough to snack on :). I wanted to try this after seeing it on the Iran documentary in The Best Ever Food Review Show

I happened to try this in real life before buying and absolutely loved it, the taste and texture is definitely unique and interesting, it's not sweet but it's not "not sweet" if that makes sense. Everyone I've met at least liked it, if not loved it.
