Nice styling, but if you intend to stain beware.
Wanted a small console table for our front entrance hall. It’s hard to find one nicely styled in small sizes. This one fit the bill perfectly, but once it arrived I had a heck of a time trying to stain it. I wanted a dark (like a cherry wood or cappuccino) to compliment other furniture nearby. I tried a variety of stains but it didn’t really take up the stain very well – nothing close to the depth of color I was looking for. Finally took it to a furniture refinisher who explained the wood is Luan - a hardwood that doesn't take stain easily. Luckily I got a decent price from him to stain and varnish it and I love the result. One other thing to note, the piece is made like a hardwood floor, that is its made up of strips of wood strips about 2" x 12". It actually looks pretty nice, you don't see obvious seams and in the dark stain you barely notice it, but may not be what some are looking for. Now that the piece is done and in my foyer I'm very happy with it, but the wood strips and hard staining qualities took me by surprise.

Love my new table! its slick, clean look is what i was looking for. I stained it a natural wood color and its perfect!!! i didnt want something bulky since my wall already has an accent to it so this table did the trick!

Great Quality at a Great Price!
This table is just what I was hoping for. I wanted something sturdy and stylish and this is both. There were only four pieces in the box and it took me 15 minutes to put together, by myself. It's well made and the wood tone is even all over. I plan on staining and painting the table and based on the unfinished surface I think it will take both treatments very well. Very pleased I made this purchase.
