Great for the table top. Convenient and compact.

I was hesitant to get this based on so many negative reviews. I don't expect something at this price point to be so durable. The draw has a wide drawer rail, opens and closes easily, and will hold up in time. I use this for drawing and coloring in color books. The bottom, fold down rail can dig into my wrist if coloring/drawing near the bottom of the page, but, folding it up, and placing the book on top of the rail makes the book flush with the bottom rail, and doesn't touch my wrist, and the rail easily folds back down to move to other sections. I am so pleased with this desktop easel, that it lives on my desk and holds the latest coloring/drawing project on it.

I was worried before receiving this, wood items frequently are very cheaply made, but I was pleasantly surprised. Nicely finished, everything works like it should. I just think the price is a bit high for what it is. I'm disabled, so standing at an easel is difficult, so this will be a great help. I can use it on a folding tv tray or even hold it on my lap. I use many different types of media, and this looks like an enjoyable alternative to balancing a large art board on my lap. I will have to get a small board for my pastel paper projects, but that's ok. Don't know how it will hold up, but here's hoping.

I bought both a standing easel and a desk top...and actually the desk top works better for me because I draw and write in a sitting position. Also good storage.

I received this item from my wish list for Christmas and have used nearly every day since. I have used it for drawing, painting, and most fun, for my laptop on the couch! This helps keep my head and neck posture while working on the couch. I love it and suggest it for any/every artist with limited space, and who likes to work on a variety of surfaces (tables, couches, etc)

This is perfect for any budding artist! So easy to store, that if you are short on space it is the only way to go. It will work on your lap or on a table. The storage is deep for all your brushes and tools. I like the quality of the latches too. Doesn’t feel cheap at all! Makes you excited to paint and create when you have something this nice to work with! My son wishes he had one so he could paint like Mommy!

My grandson was so excited to receive this item however, the drawer was very difficult to open so I had to return it. A replacement was promptly sent which was much appreciated. Unfortunately in both cases the dividers shown in the advertisement for the drawer were non existent. The drawer was just one big open space. I would have liked to have received the item as it was pictured but didn’t feel like returning the item once again. It will still work but it would have been nice to have sections in the drawer to separate items in.
