Shelves were easy to assemble and very sturdy. I stacked two on top of a work table for extra storage space and they’re perfect.

I got this as a shoe rack to put by my front door. It looks as expected and was easy to put together!

The product itself is really good, great quality and easy to assemble. Anyone can and should have an easy time assembling this. The only issue with this was that it was scratched up on the top surface and it was chipped on a corner. I’ve uploaded a picture to show this. It would have gotten a 5 star if it wasn’t for that. Thankfully I ordered 2 and just stacked one on top of another to cover the scratch.

After searching and searching for options for shoe storage, I finally opted for the ClosetMaid shelves. I bought two of the 31 inch selves and stacked them on the floor of my small closet. This was the best storage I have found for shoes after years and years of buying different shoe racks and being disappointed with shoes falling off, not fitting, or the cheap racks (which cost more than the shelves) folding up on me. These are sturdy, simple lines and held way more shoes that the previous rack(s). Because they are not as confined, I can cram in more of the off season shoes I rarely wear and still see them clearly, yet I have ample room for the quality shoes and shoe boxes to keep my better shoes easy to access without getting all messed up. The shelves abut to the back of the closet, so I don't have the problem of shoes falling off the back.I was so pleased with the result that I ran to a local discount store to get the same shelves for my boyfriends shoes. I wanted to surprise him when he got home, so I didn't take the time to order from Amazon. FYI, Amazon had the better price and I got the free shipping with Prime. He wears size 11 and his shoes fit nicely on the shelves. He was very pleased when he saw how neat the closet looked and how much easier it is for him to get his shoes off these racks without everything else falling off as well.I waited a number of months before posting this review to make sure I was still pleased with the shelves. We both are still very very happy with them and our closet is so much neater. I really like ClosetMaid products. These shelves are very durable and should last us until we no longer need shoes.

I used this product as a desktop riser, and I have no complaints about it. It is solidly built and assembly is very simple. The product comes in four pieces: the two main side boards and the middle shelves. The back is left unfinished, and it is rough and unsightly, but it is not a problem when it is places against a wall or other furniture. The shelves are held in to the side supports by thick and long wood screws. The shelves can hold quite a bit of weight. I was able to but a large TV monitor on top of it, and it only bowed a little bit. It gives me a lot of extra space on my desk.Pros:• Low price• Large size• SturdyCons:• Wood sheets not for heavy use, held only by 4 screws• No rubber feet at base, so it is prone to slipping.

Great vale for money

We chose this option mainly because of the price and our experience with the smaller, lighter, balsa-wood-like shoe racks that we've had in the past. The ClosetMaid also SEEMS to have a more "finished look" so we felt it would work at our front entrance where we get the most foot traffic and have the clutter of shoes 24-7.The product arrived on time via UPS, double boxed. Upon removing the four pressed-wood pieces, two were scratched (4-inch + scratches) and one board had a "dent" on the bottom. The pre-drilled holes were also very rough and the espresso laminate was torn away exposing the light-colored pressed wood underneath.All the contents were there and assembly was simple, but the screws did not sink flush to the surface. I tried to over-tighten one screw so that the screw head didn't protrude from the side... crack, crack... the pressed wood started to strip so I stopped. Of the eight screws only two were properly countersinked (countersunk?). The finishing step was pressing the little plastic caps on to cover the silver screw heads. Since the screws are not countersinked, the caps pop off. Two of the caps could not stand up to the pressure of being pressed into the screw head. Bummer. You really notice the 2-5 silver screw heads (depending on whether you find the black caps when they fall out).So it works. Three stars = "It's okay." It's a shelf for shoes. But what is missing is the attention to detail. Our brand new ClosetMaid espresso-finish shoe rack looks banged up and used, with silver screw heads sticking out on the surface and a big scratch that we masked with a Sharpie. Three stars, ClosetMaid.

Easy to assemble and perfect for what I needed it for

Fast delivery. Easy to put together. Perfect condition. Exactly what I wanted to do the job - maximizing space in an existing cabinet. Took off one star as it’s more expensive than what it should be.

Nice little unit but not for heavy boots or ankle height shoes. Veneer over pressboard. Easy to assemble. Unfortunately three of the corners came damaged and white pressboard is very noticeable through the cracked espresso veneer. Inside packing non existent so nothing to protect shelving in shipping. Great little unit for the price, if it’s not damaged.

Very nice presentation. Sturdy and easy to assemble. I stacked up two of these vertically, and removed the middle shelf from one, and then attached the two with a plywood in the back for support, and wa la, it has turned into a bookcase with room in the middle rack (with one shelf removed) for larger/ taller items like a record player. and a decoration piece. Something like this is priced at around $152 even at Amazon. With these two attached, I got the entire bookcase for only $26+26+ tax. Highly recommend it for its quality.

This is the fourth one I bought... the style is so minimalistic and clean. They stack on top of each other so that’s super convenient. It’s easy to assemble by yourself. It looks great, and lasted me 3 years so far. No cracks or anything.The only downside is that it fits 2.5 pairs of shoes lol. The only time I can fit 3 pairs is when they’re really slim shoes like flats. Got a pair of men’s runners in the same row? Nope, you can only put one shoe..

Quick to assemble, appealing to the eye, heavy enough to handle regular 'wear and tear'.
