Bought for my 2 year old X Rocker Messina Deluxe Fabric Office Chair, i bought the 6" one for my chair and it felt like i was sat on the roof far too big the X Rocker Messina Deluxe requires one this size due to the mechanical parts under the chair, this is perfect made my char feel like new again no more sitting down and feeling my self lower down slowly by just my weight, if you have the same chair as me this is the one you want.

This was a good quality cylinder that fitted my chair base well. Unfortunately, it was bit short for my chair but that's my bad as I should've checked first. I feel that the product description page should've been bit clearer. Overall, a good product if 7" height would be good for your chair.

This cylinder converts an office chair made for average-height people into one for short people.In our household we've been round this loop a few times, but long story short, office furniture is too high for people shorter than about 5ft 4, and if you're say around 5ft (and a lot of people are), it is *far* too high. Hence the profusion of foot rests and other questionable paraphenalia designed to accommodate the lack of design in the first place. I thought it might take a week of effort but it only took a few well placed taps and bangs with a lump hammer to remove the old cylinder.Of course once you have the chair at the right height, you need to find a desk that goes low enough to match. Good luck with that ;-).

This is the exact replacement for the gas cylinder for IKEA Markus chair. Other gas cylinders are too tall in the lowest position. Markus chair has a tall base so it requires tapered bottom of the cylinder. 5 minute job (requires plumbers wrench to remove old cylinder that gets stuck).
