How many cups is this?

Amazon should change this! This is nowhere near 10-12 cups. Carefully measuring and filling it with water, I found that 10 cups came up to within 1/4" of the rim; it would be quite likely to spill moving it from counter to oven. However, cakes expand while baking; the usual rule of thumb is to fill about 2/3 or 3/4 full of raw batter to leave room. Interestingly, Wilton doesn't specify # of cups capacity, neither on their website listing product details, nor on the packaging. 10-12 cups estimate is quite misleading and will almost certainly lead to a smelly, messy oven spillover. reply is not by Rafaello, but a family member

I have yet to make a cake in this pan that didn't stick and become a big mess. i have used pam as well as crisco. nothing works. ????

If your nonstick-coated pans are sticking, we recommend cleaning your pans thoroughly (with Barkeeper's Friend or a baking soda and vinegar paste) and using shortening, baking spray or butter to grease. Fats that are solid at room temperature are best; vegetable oil and nonstick spray tend to polymerize in high heat and cause a sticky residue buildup, which in turn causes cakes and batters to stick.

What is the measurement of the pan across the handles?

from edge of handle to edge of handle - 12 inches From rim to rim (including lip of pan) - 10.5 inches From the outer part of pan that holds the batter to the other side - 9 inches.

Is it a 9 or 12 cup capacity?

I believe it is more of a 10-12 cup capacity (standard size)
