The Unique Powermat for Tesla Model S and X a Wireless Smart Phone Charger Tesla Charger for Model S Tesla Charger for Model X

Pros: Attractive, functional.Cons: Surface is too smooth and the phone is not securely held nor is the charger secured to the car. I don't like the large branding.I have had this unit for a little more than two weeks. I wanted to give it a chance so I could do a proper review. I tested mine in a 2020 MX Raven using an Apple iPhone XS Max.First, the unit is too smooth and even normal driving causes it to slide from side to side in the cradle. there are multiple charging loops, but they do not reach far enough to the edges to keep the phone from sliding to one side and stopping its charge. I improved this significantly by attaching a very thin piece of rubber (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5MB2JK) to the front. My phone no longer slides side to side.Second, the angle of the pad is slightly more reclined than the factory angle which holds it in place well enough for any reasonable stopping forces. However, even modest acceleration can throw it completely out of the cradle.Third, the cradle itself isn't attached to the car in any way other than the cable. While you can technically close the door, it doesn't work like you'd thing/want it to.Its a good product but not worth $100 in its current form.

i refrained from writing a review until i used this thing for a few weeks. in the end, i am sending back to amazon and there are 3 main reasons why. 1) you have to plug it into a cigaratte lighter in order to work and it faults (flashes red) half the time i put the phone on it. it's annoying to look down while you're driving just to find it hasn't been charging for the last 10 minutes for no apparent reason. 2) you can hear a small faint electric sound when there is no music on and the phone is charging. obviously it's the charger because when i remove the phone the sound goes away. something tells me my brain is frying by hearing that sound. 3) the advertising stamped on the front is unnecessary. you have a nice clean tesla console, then ruined by this gigantic blue writing.tesla just released the model x qi charger on the website and i'm going to try that. this thing will work if you can put up with the comments above, but for $99 it isn't worth it. for $40 i would have just kept it.

Ok so I would say this is worth AT MOST $30. But attach the name Tesla to anything and people try and rip you off. Also there is no way to secure the phone on this so every corner make is slide off and Teslas power make you phone fly off and almost crack your screen every time you give it hard acceleration.$100 is a rip off

I now have “The Unique Powermat” installed in my Tesla Model S. It’s a wonderfully elegant solution, and we love it. Charging is fast, and when finished we just flip the console USB cover closed, and you can’t even tell there is a Qi charger there. I’ve seen reviews that claim the logo is annoying when visible — not true, it’s subtle and tasteful. Others claim that their their phones won’t stay on the charger when driving — I don’t doubt that, but just about everything in the console area goes flying before the phone flies out. Perhaps their driving is just a bit too aggressive. I suspect they have coffee stains on their head rests.

Fast charge, fits perfectly, phone moves around if you turn too fast, I added extra strong double-sided tape the 3M tape it came with this not sticky enough. You can still close the compartment it’s a perfect fit.Update: after using it two days the charger will no longer stick with the EM tape provided.

Doesn't work at all. Unit blinks purple, white, red lights. Doesn't charge anything placed on it. Defective at arrival.

Broke after 6 month after frying my USB port in my car.

Works well. Needed to add 3m double sided tape to secure better. Very easy install and very happy to eliminate the charger wires in my Model X.
