If you know, you know.
these are the machetes that you want. they are rough. the grips are terrible. buy them and work on them to make them your own. I was a wee bit disappointed for a fleeting moment that I didn't get the machetes that I wanted, but its a "grab bag" so what ever the person packs for you is the set you get. having said that, I am happy.I have had 2 Imacasa machetes (18/24 bush) for 20+ years. they are light weight and fast. everything in this box is heavier because of the shapes and thicker steel.the grips on the set I got are 2 wood and 3 plastic. I went to work reshaping one of the plastic grips with a small 4 way file and greatly improved the feel.tips:1) smooth the gaps to bring the Tang flush2) re-contour to take away the "sharp" edges. soften it out.3) take away some of the thickness if you need to. not everyone has massive hands. thin it down until you can get a proper "pinch grip" or "ok" grip.4) its not what you CUT. its what you DON'T cut. go at it slow and steady, feel what you need to take away.the whole machete just needs to be brought into focus. refine the grip to your hand. give it the edges you need to suit your purposes. build yourself the sheath that you need it to have. make it fully functional as the people that actually use them to live would do.

Made of good metal
Hard to sharpen so at least made of good metal.

Great assortment of great machetes. Great price. Just GREAT!
This is a great collection of machetes for a great price. I use them for "hack and squirt" herbicide treatment for timber stand improvement projects. Easily sharpened with a flat file. I like the different designs for different size trees. A few rough edges on the handles but no big deal to file or sand smooth.

Pleased as punch
Holy poop these are great, especially for the price. I love that they're a random assortment. Dont be upset that they're not very sharp. They're not supposed to be. It's a machete not a straight razor. The only downside is that I finished all my yard work before I saw them. Found some stuff to hack at anyways and they cut great. I love the giant icing spreader looking one.

decent ... don't expect much
First, you get a bunch for not a lot of money. That's something. But several were not sharpened. Like really not at all. More edge on some butter knives. When I did sharpen a couple, they held an edge about like a cut pop can. Hmmm. My kids enjoy whacking on brush that needs cleared with these, so they have their place, but it's not a "great deal" iMHO. Will keep them around for kids to whack with, but I'm still looking for a tool to do a man's job.... none of these fit that bill...

This was awesome
We enjoyed this experience very much and will probably buy another set. They are not sharp at all but no problem at all. The variety/uniqueness was worth the price 100%

4/5
I am not convinced these are surplus or from Columbia, but for the price and assortment I received I am not disappointed nor do I regret my purchase. I’ve put them through some abuse hacking off limbs up to 2” or so in diameter and had no issues.

Good deal.
Good heavy blades. Comfortable grip. Multiple sizes. Will need sharpened, they are barely honed.
