It’s the only reel oil I use.
I know that there are other reel oils out there, but Penn oil has never let me down. I always keep a bottle in my tackle box as well as my repair kit at home. I do a fair amount of salt water fishing, so proper maintenance is essential.

Penn Reel Oil and Grease Work Very Well
Just as with the Penn reel grease, these products have been around since the time of Christ (or shortly thereafter) and do what they are designed to do very well. I use them both regularly since I fish mainly in salt water which is, of course, hard on reels. The grease and oils have gotten much more expensive but so have the reels, especially larger ones for salt water. Keep the reels oiled and greased (where applicable) and good reels will last many years.

I wish I could give them 6 stars.
I wanted the little needle injector version, but I didn't want to pay twice the money for half the volume. So I bought this bottle instead. I've cleaned multiple reels, and this little flip top nose is good enough. I didn't really need the fancy injector needle after all... If you need a deal and can get past the needle need, buy this one.
