Beautiful grinder, great value!
When I placed my order for this grinder there were no reviews for it. But the specs looked good seemed similar to much higher priced grinders like the Comadante, so I took a chance. And I am really glad I did! While I don't have a Comadante to compare it to, this grinder is plenty impressive in it's own right. The fit and finish is very smooth and the grinder just feels high end. The machining is nearly flawless. All treads are smooth and easy to turn and the bearings are so smooth they are nearly silent. In fact, as I was grinding beans for the first time I had to keep looking in the hopper to verify the beans were really grinding. It was that easy! The grind adjustment is made by a three lobed, machined aluminum knob, accessed by removing the collection cup. This grinder has a stepped adjustment and there are numbers around a ring on the base making it really easy to replicate settings. The knob here is smooth but has an appropriate amount of resistence. You feel the clicks and know the setting will stay where you put it.One of my favorite feature is the crank handle pummel. The pearish shape fits my hand well and the knob tuns easily on the crank, which reduces fatigue. Even with my athritis the knob was easy to grip. Even the wood is nice because, while smooth to the touch it has a slight texture that keeps the knob from getting slick if your hands are damp. This grinder is quiet too! I carried on a conversation while grinding, and even though my hearing is not great, I could still hear every word my husband said. It was also very fast. I ground 23.5 grams of beans in about 40 seconds to a medium fineness for pour over. Maybe a larger burr set would be faster still but I am old enough to have a wee bit of patience.Weight wise the unit is quite heavy but in a good way. It feels sturdy like it will be around for a good long time. Nothing wobbles, shakes or makes noises that shouldn't.But of course, you want to know how well it grinds. I am very happy to tell you that, as far as I've tested, it grinds very consistently! I don't have the equipment to verify the particle count as stated by the seller, but on visual inspection I could see few fines and zero boulders.I am really looking forward to grinding more beans!

Consistent grind - solid and sturdy, but feels a little awkward to use
I purchased this grinder after deliberating for days between it and the 1Zpresso JX. I decided to go with the Junoesque because of the high nitrogen burrs, and it’s smaller size, as well as the black finish with the cherry handle. Since the reviews were limited I thought I’d try it, see how it performed and add to the very little information out there about this grinder. Upon receiving it, I made an afternoon cup of coffee because there was no way I could wait until the morning. I was impressed with the ease of use and consistency of the grind. It felt good in my hands- solid and sturdy- the adjustment knob was a good size and moved very smoothly. I did notice that there seemed to be a loose part in there somewhere that I could hear when I moved the grinder that turned out to be the oval shaped pin that another reviewer warned about, which fell out when I unscrewed the burrs from each other. Luckily I didn’t lose mine! I continued to use this grinder for about a week but in the back of my mind was the 1Zpresso. What if I chose the wrong grinder? I didn’t want to have spent $140 on this contraption, only to lose the pin and have it be rendered unusable. What if the JX was even more solid and sturdy? What if the grind was MORE consistent?! These questions occupied my mind for a few more days, all the while I was realizing that the Junoesque felt almost too small in my hands and that the handle felt slightly too long. I broke down and ordered the 1Zpresso. Now, I still think that the Junoesque is a great coffee grinder. Hands down, better than the grinder it replaced. It seems that for the price, there are very few manual coffee grinders that would stack up to it. The grind might even be better than the 1Zpresso but I had no real way of testing that so alas, I’ll never know. The main reasons I decided to go with another grinder are mostly a matter of personal preference. You might find that it’s the perfect size for you, in which case I think you’ll be happy with the Junoesque.

3X Faster Grinding Compared to Hario-Style Grinder
The media could not be loaded. 2-Years-Later Update: I still love this coffee grinder.I use it at least twice a day, and it still works as good as the day I bought it.Get this grinder and be happy. :)Original Review from 2020:I love this coffee grinder. On average, it grinds 3 times faster than my other hand grinder, a generic Hario-style model. The grind quality is more uniform than the Hario-style grinder, resulting in better extraction from the coffee beans. The construction is durable; several times I have dropped it from a height of 4+ feet and it has survived. The grind size can be dialed-in with relative ease, after a few trial-and-error cups.If you are thinking about getting a new grinder and this one is close to your budget: go for it. :)One tip to make your improve your experience with ANY grinder:Stir your coffee beans with a wet spoon or handle them with wet hands before adding them to your grinder. You will see a DRAMATIC reduction in coffee grounds clinging to the bottom of the grinder once you've finished grinding. Also, check out James Hoffman's YouTube videos about coffee, because he's awesome at explaining the best methods to making all manner of coffee beverages.

Excellent coffee, but ...
This is my first manual coffee grinder, and I love it! Beautiful product, easy to use, and the coffee beans grind up evenly - the coffee comes out delicious! My challenge with this grinder is that there is a little aluminum oval 'peg' that stabilizes the burr system to the coffee bean receptacle that comes loose. If lost, the grinder is rendered unusable - this has happened to me, and now I am unable to grind coffee beans with this new device. Finding a replacement for the part at local hardware stores have proven impossible. What to do?Apart from this small issue, the grinder does an excellent job of evenly grinding coffee beans.
