WORKS GREAT! We are very pleased!
Purchased May 15. 2017Our pump went out and to replace it with the current low flow energy efficient pumps would have cost around $4000.I search and found this one. It was an exact replacement of what we had. Our pump was 17 years old.I ordered the seal kit on here for like $10bucks, watched multiple youtube videos that show how to install it.It really should have only taken about 30min to an hour to replace. But the bolts were rusted to the pump and base. That took a long time to remedy.Luckily, my father has the tools to remove and cut off the old bolts. And then he treated the replacement bolts so they won't rust in the future. It ended up taking like 3hours because my dad had to run back home to get the necessary tools,. But overall it was worth it!!! Saved us thousands of dollars and so far it has worked well. I actually lucked out at the time of purchase it was on sale. I paid like $150.00.Seal kitPolaris (Booster Pump) Mod: PB4-60 (POL001) Shaft Seal & O-ring Rebuild Kit.

Perfect fit for pre-2011 Polaris pump
After 24 years my Polaris pump finally died. After doing a lot of research I decided to replace the motor and not the entire pump with motor. This motor from AO Smith dropped right in and after replacing all the rubber seals on the pump, was up and operating in about an hour. Probably the most difficult part of the entire process was removing the stainless steel bolts that mount the pump to the motor. The bottom two bolts were extremely difficult to remove due to the calcification build up over the years. There is not enough room to get a socket on the bolts so I had use an open ended wrench with a cheater bar. I was really nervous about stripping the sides of the hex head but after a lot of grunting, I got them to come out. The bolts were fine and cleaned up nicely on my wire wheel so I was able to re-use them.

Buy of the year!
Pool company estimates averaged $700 to replace this motor. I purchased it, watched the company's instillation video and it was a breeze!!!!!! Saved hundreds and had the satisfaction of doing it myself. The hardest part was taking the old one off, as nuts and bolts were on for 10 years. Will definitely do this again as equipment ages and needs replacement!

The motor failed after 3.5 months. The 1 year warranty WAS NOT HONORED!
UPDATE 5/25/22: First, it is interesting to notice other reviews complaining about the motor bearings and the horrible customer service! After my experience with this vendor and this motor, I purchased a USMotors product. I did the installation myself, which this vendor criticized, (I have done these several times throughout the life of my pool.) and the USMotors product has the same conditions, location and run-time that the Century motor had and it is PERFECT in every way. Again, buyer beware! The motors from this vendor have known bearing issues and this vendor has very poor customer service! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this replacement motor for the Polaris pump on my pool. It ran for 2 hours/day for 3.5 months and the bearings failed. As per their instructions, I sent the motor back for replacement. That is where the problem began. The Company, CSH Electric Motor Supply, claimed that the failure was MY FAULT and that THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE 1 YEAR WARRANTY. The motor that the CSH motor replaced sat in the exact same location under the exact same conditions as the previous motor which lasted from 2013 to 7/2021. Quite a difference! Then, they claimed that the seal either wasn't replaced or installed properly. I offered to email them a copy of the receipt for the new seal that WAS installed when the motor was put into service, but they weren't interested. As for the installation, it isn't rocket science. THE SEAL WAS PERFECTLY INSTALLED! The bottom line is that I paid $258 for the motor and $37 to ship it back. They gave me a refund of $119. So, I am out $176 and I need to purchase another motor from a different supplier. BUYER BEWARE!

Pump Motor looks great - definitely a quality part
I never used this motor…My old PB460 pool pump motor quit working. I ordered this new one and it arrived quickly and is absolutely the correct replacement part for my PB 460. Before I could install the new motor, the old pump miraculously started working again. I’m keeping this one for a spare until it is needed.Fast forward one year…. The original pump finally quit working. The replacement pump bolted in easily and was back up and running in less than 30 minutes. This pump runs very quietly compared to the original motor I had.

Exact fit and good value
Bought this motor and a shaft seal kit for a relatives Polaris 280 pool cleaner. Took me about an hour to remove the old motor, install new seal and new motor. I saved over $200 by reusing the old pump. Pretty good wages if you are a little handy. There are numerous YouTube videos if you are unfamiliar with pumps/motors/shaft seals. Just a note: never touch the shaft seal faces with your fingers. Skin oil will cause early failure

Exact Replacement pump motor for Polaris pool clener
This motor is an exact replacement for the factory installed Polaris pool cleaner booster pump. It was very easy to replace. Be sure the motor is wired for the correct voltage (220V or 110V) The motor comes wired for 220V. There is a wiring diagram on the side of the motor on how to wire the motor for 110V and 220V, but it is easier just to wire the motor exactly like the original motor you are replacing.
