The Lite Train K is a lightweight, supportive and responsive shoe designed for speed hiking and mountain training. It features a breathable knitted mesh upper that promises improved moisture regulation. The shoe was developed in collaboration with Michelin Technical Soles and is oriented towards excellent grip and weight saving. The aggressive lug profile of the outsole guarantees optimal traction, so that you can quickly move over challenging, rocky terrain - whether in speed hiking, trail running or interval training. The shoe is based on the Michelin Lite Train sole, which was developed exclusively with Salewa Its special outdoor compound has a moulded and grooved design inspired by mountain bike tyres and ensures excellent slope-crossing traction as well as optimal adaptability on soft and uneven terrain. In addition, the 3F Total System from SALEWA offers additional support to the midfoot as it expands the 3F system on the lacing area. This increases the stability and the fit more precisely.

Great Trail Shoe for hiking or running; not an asphalt pounder.
Pros:Fit good for wide toe box and narrow ankle.Comfortable.Not too rigid; nor are they too flexible.Arch support is working. I have poor arches.Very breathable.Cons:Flat shoelaces seems to wiggle free too easily.Made for trail not asphalt. The feel on any hard surface while running, can absolutely wear on your ankles.

Great quality. Unusally narrow heel and mid-foot.
First, I was not familiar with this brand and decided to give it a try. The workmanship of these shoes is incredible. I generally trail run and walk with Hokas or Alturas (auto correct won't let me type the correct name for the second brand but runners should know what brand I mean) I bought these based on the Michelin sole and it is fantastic. Positive grip in wet conditions with rocks is excellent. I found these shoes on discount for $61.00 so I knew if they didn't work out, I wouldn't be out too much money and I could probably just use them in the garden or find some other use for them. I take a 11.5 US in size or 45 in international sizing and am a D in width which is average. Over the years I have run in most of the major brands and as I previously stated; Hokas and Alturas are my current favorites. Before them I ran and trail walked for many years in New Balance and for a short time in Saucony. I find Saucony to be unusually narrow in most of their trail running models and for these Salewas I can say the same or even more so. They are extremely narrow at the heel and mid-foot. The length is fine. The toebox is narrow as well but usable. I needed to use my thinnest cycling socks to even get my foot into them. My normal merino wool running socks were just too thick. I ran a quick 5km this morning on fire roads in California with a rocky stream crossing. The sole is like glue on the rocks and is world class. So, my final thoughts are if you are in the US and wear a B/C width, buy these shoes and you will have some of the best trail walkers or light runners around. I am going to see how these break in further and perhaps switch out the laces for elastic to give my mid-foot a bit more room. Additionally, I am going to check out the Salewa website to see if they offer an E or EE width or the European equivalent.

Prima Schuh, markante Sohle, wertig

Sizing issue
I'm sure this would be a good well made shoe for anyone it may fit...however for me it is half a size too long for it's sizing and very narrow in the forefoot... Train and run daily in mountain trails and have used previously a variety of different brands...from Adidas to La Sportiva....so watch sizes before purchasing these.

Ottime!
