Slowly I am replacing the bulkier smart plugs with these "mini" smart plugs in an attempt to box most of them away within cable management boxes. I am not sure whether it is recommended that I use these smart plugs on extension leads but they work anyway - which is a bonus as I have some extension leads which have 10 plug sockets!So, to the plugs... setup-wise, as with other smart (IoT) devices, this is just a case of pairing that device with the Smart Life app. I have other devices already paired on this app and so my home WiFi is already connected on there, so it's just a case of selecting the device in the app and having it connect. Easy. The Smart Life app is excellent, to be fair, allowing multiple devices to be controlled in a simple clean interface. I have moved away from Go Smart app since as it doesn't work as well. With Smart Life, it is very easy to switch the plugs on, off and to set timers, adjust brightness (in the case of the light bulbs), etc...Extending this further to add voice command support isn't a great deal more effort. It is just a case of adding the Smart Life skill to Alexa allowing you to be able to voice control the devices from there. If you haven't done this before, then adding the skill once will mean that any devices that you add to Smart Life will have a suggestion from Alexa app to add them to this too - better shortening the setup time for future smart device additions.Very happy with the plugs, the price of them and integration with both Smart Life and Alexa apps!

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Took 5 minutes to set up app and to get the plugs working on Alexa.The instructions were very easy to follow, Download the app, make an account, enable the ‘skill’ in Alexa on your phone, then ‘discover’ your devices on your Alexa device.It was so easy to set up, My daughter is going to get some more.I thoroughly recommend this product.

Great addition for smart home users. Working perfect with Alexa. Can be used manually from app as well. Pairing process is quite simple, only taking 5 minutes. Unit itself doesn't drain much power, only 0.6 w/h, even less than psu from mobile phone. Working as remote when outside the house. Size i quite compact and holding 10 A of power. Extremely recomend for first steps in building your own smart house

These smart plugs appear well made however they will not fit a standard UK switched socket without overlapping the switch consequently the smart plug cannot be pushed fully home as shown in the photograph. I tried in three different sockets and all had the same problem.

These are a good price at the moment. Packaged and presented in a very upmarket way and the plugs feel well made and look stylish and unobtrusive.It was fine to set them up if you read the instructions properly.Download the app first.Buy all the plugs you need in one go if you can.For lights, switch them on and plug them into these plug sockets.The app will register the plug sockets all in one go making it easier for you to name them if you get everything you need in one go.There are on and off buttons on the app so you can see what plug number relates to what light as they are initially given numbers until you rename the sockets.Give each plug an individual name like 'floor lamp'.Then you can set up rooms and add the named sockets to the room.This then helps you with Alexa when you say 'turn on all the lights in the dining room', as an example.If you have 2.4GHz and 5GHz on your router the plugs automatically selected the necessary 2.4GHz so don't worry about this warning in the advert.

Brilliant plugs, easy to connect, very compatible with Alexa, awesome live energy monitoring feature. Great value for a pack of four smart plugs with energy monitoring.Setting them up was very easy, just followed the instruction booklet and downloaded the app, they all connected straight away.I have all my smart devices connected through the app called “TuyaSmart” so it’s easy to manage them all in one app. So I connected these plugs to the Tuya app and they are compatible, plus the app can show you the live energy monitor. You can set timers for different times and different days which is very useful.Perfectly compatible with Alexa too, just rename them and you can tell Alexa to turn them on and off. Mine are controlling lights and a heater so I can just tell Alexa to turn the lamp on, and create zones like the lounge and bedroom etc. Works great.They fit the UK standard plug sockets just perfectly, see my picture, you can fit two in a double socket and they just about fit around the switches.

Bought these as the Humtus plugs i bought previously were unavailable .You have to download an app to get these to work (as with all such plugs i believe),which i did -by scanning the code on the plug instructions.Once it was downloaded i attempted-several times-to get them to connect to our wi-fi to use with Alexa.It was impossible to connect, and each and every attempt failed(this included the alternative method of using your mobile phone as a hotspot "go between" ).I deleted the app and re-insalled.I re-booted the router-I downloaded an improved app that named the plugs by name (on the same go smart app the instruction code sends you to).I tried every one of the four plugs.I used an extension lead to get the router and smart plug right next to each other,with my phone bang in the middle! Nothing worked! I tried the 'help' route on the app(useless).In the end i gave up!I don't know if the plugs were at fault.....but four defective plugs(?),most unlikely, or the app was in some way to blame....i really don't know.But the simple fact is THESE WOULD NOT CONNECT !!!!!.I have returned them and had a refund (very simple; well done Amazon!),and will try another make.Take this review at face value- i have no axe to grind and there are probably many satisfied people who have bought these and had no issues.I can only relate my own experience with these Gosund plugs and tell you i could not get them to work.
