Speciality of Bandhani or Bandhej Scarf/Duptta/Shawls and Wraps for Evening :Bandhej, also known as Bandhani, is a tie and dye method practiced mainly in states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and parts of Uttar Pradesh In India. The word Bandhani is derived from a Sanskrit word Banda which means “to tie”. Bandhani is truly an art that involves dyeing a fabric tied tightly with a thread at History:Bandhej is the oldest form of tie & die art which began about 5000 years ago. As per the historical evidence, the first Bandhani saree was worn at the time of Bana Bhatt`s Harshacharita in a royal marriage. One of it’s earliest visual representations can be seen in the Ajanta caves. In India, Bandhani work was started by the Khatri Community of Gujarat. Places in Rajasthan like Jaipur, Sikar, Bhilwara, Udaipur, Bikaner, Ajmer, and Jamnagar in Gujarat are the well known centers producing odhnis, sarees and turbans in Bandhani. It is an ancient form of art which is still in practice.Technique:The art of Bandhani is as exciting as it’s history. The fabric to be dyed is tied very tightly at different points in knots and then dyed with extraordinary colors. When this tied cloth goes for dyeing, these threads or knots doesn’t let that part catch color & allows it to stay white or whatever color the cloth has. Once the cloth is dyed, it is left for drying in open air. Drying can take some time depending upon the weather conditions. In monsoon, it takes around 2 days to dry while in summer it takes only 4-5 hours. In winter it takes around 6-7 hours for drying.Product Usage:Trendy Multi-Color Shawl/Wrap/Duptta/Fashion Scarve can be styled over the shoulder with any type of Dress, Blouse, Sweater, Sleeves, Jacket, Blazer or Shirt for a charming modern look. Snagging Hazard
The sequins and mirrors are attached poorly with loose strings running from sequin to sequin causing a snagging hazard that made this unwearable. We thought about just snipping the threads and using it as is but nah. Not worth it. Shockingly poor quality.

Good material but Mirror sequence loosely stitched kept falling off
Beautiful bandani shawl with mirror sequence. The mirror work was not stitched correctly and kept falling off, but the look and feel of the material is good for the price.
5**!
Like leaving a trail of bread crumbs!
I love this scarf/throw; however, everywhere I went people knew I was there because the glitters constantly fall off or stuck to my skin. I had to remove the shells as it was a bit much for my taste & got in the way a bit, I still like the product though.

Very fun and summery...
TL:DR? This is a fun, lightweight scarf/shawl, but it isn’t super durable and I’d be afraid to even hand-wash it.The Fabric:This is an extra long, thin scarf/shawl with very vibrant and bright colors. Tassels are on each end (short ends) in matching yarn. Colors include orange, yellow, pink, blue, and green. Colors go in a diagonal pattern (randomized color order). The Feel:This is super soft and “squishy” feeling. It’s absolutely gorgeous and lightweight, perfect for summer nights when you want to wear a strappy dress but want some modest coverage. It’s long enough that it can also be wrapped around the head and is great for cosplaying/costume parties with Arabian, oriental, or Indian inspired characters (hello Jasmine from Aladdin). It’s very versatile and adds a great pop of color. They only downside is you definitely are going to have to spot clean this as I doubt it’ll even hold up in the laundry or with hand washing (very delicate). This was also advertised as having pompoms. It has tassels on mine instead.+Pros:+Vibrant and brightly colored+Saturated and striking hues+Extra long length (multi-purpose use)+Matching tassels+Soft, light, and airy (great for modest coverage in the summer)+Perfect for cosplaying-Cons:-VERY delicate (machine washing and hand washing are pretty much out of the question; spot clean only)-May not last long-Very sheer (which may not be a bad thing; depends on what you are going for)Overall, this met my expectations and proceeded to further dazzle my sense. Colors are great. Feels awesome. Just what I needed for summer weather (and cosplaying!). 3.9 out of 5 stars (rounded up to 4). Wish it was a little easier to clean.

Pretty synthetic scarves with handmade features (but one smells weird)
I received two scarves, one in ornate tie dye and one with mirrors. In some places the listing refers to them as "cotton" but they are not cotton; I think they're polyester. The colorways I received aren't listed yet so I can't specify which they are but I will when I can.Ornate tie-dye scarf:This shawl is green, yellow and red with straight and chevron-shaped bands of white dots going across, and a repeating figure-8 band across each end. It arrived without having been de-wrinkled so it looks sort of like a cactus. I'll have to wash it and hope it flattens out. These scarves are dyed by pulling up a little point of fabric and wrapping a tiny string around it, then repeating that hundreds of times. The part under the tightly wrapped string can't take up dye. So every little white spot that you see on the shawl was wrapped meticulously in fine white string. (The little points stand up on their own after the dyeing and drying process, which is why mine looks like a cactus.) Some of the strings remain after the shawl is shipped so you'll have to pull them out, but they aren't part of the scarf and it doesn't mean the scarf was damaged. Some part of the dyeing process does seem to cause holes and areas where the weave of the fabric has been spread apart. My shawl has several openings and actual holes in the ends, and a loose green string where the shawl got snagged. The shawl's coloring is so busy that you could hardly tell. Regardless I think this type of textile will stress out perfection-minded people.Mirrored rainbow scarf:I love this scarf. It arrived folded flat and it has an intentionally wrinkly texture, sort of like orange peel, not like it's been stored twisted up. It's floaty and vibrant and shiny. It's red, fuchsia, blue, purple and goldenrod. The images show mirrors in a square design, but mine are daisy-shaped. The shawl is about 35x76". So it's 3 feet by 6.3 feet which is quite large. I really love the loud colors and the rainbow stitching. There were a couple of thread ends hanging off of the hem seam but nothing is frayed or anything. I cut them off with no trouble. The only issue is that the scarf smells kind of weird, enough that you can smell it a foot or two away. It's airing out though. I really prefer this one over the other, because of the smoother texture, the colors and the mirrors, but the weird smell is a drag.
