This is the perfect doorstop! I cannot express enough how much I love this! Bear with me while I wax poetic about a simple unassuming home good. First of all, this thing is heavy! It has a very solid and high quality feel. Plus it is very pretty! The casting is refined with no rough edges. It has the perfect patina to give it an aged look without it looking like a faux finish. The grip on the bottom keeps it from budging even a little on my lino floor. It perfectly prevents my jerk dog from opening the door in his persistently obsessive quest to raid the kitty litter box.It is aesthetically pleasing, seemingly indestructible and performs flawlessly!Sidenote: one reviewer mentioned the screws on the bottom being “welded in place”. I mean i had to use a screwdriver to remove them initially so i could attach the fleur de lis to the wedge but no sweat was broken and no blow torches had to be called into the line of duty. They were more than “finger tightened” but not welded fortunately!

Very nice, heavy, nonslip doorstop. Must have a small space underneath the door to insert this doorstop.

I purchased two of these door stops for my French doors that open to the screened porch. The bottom of the doors are 3-4" off the ground, so I needed something with enough height and weight to hold them open, especially on windy days. These work perfectly. I will say that due to being cast iron, they are not completely smooth, so I added a little rubber bumper to the back side where the stop meets the door...that resolved any concern about scratching the paint on the door. Also worth noting, these were delivered from the seller much quicker than expected. Could not be happier with this purchase.

Will work with any door. Solid and looks good.

Screws come bolted into the fleur de les, but they do not work once removed to mount to the base. You will need longer bolts/screws. Frustrating

It is heavy enough to hold open an automatic-closing door while we were moving. Also is close to the door so it does not present a tripping hazard. Love the Fleur-de-lis pattern. Overall great purchase.
