Great product. Highly recommended
Switched over to an electric fan after my mechanical one put a dent in my hood:( Installation was super easy due to the great online tutorials. It fits but clearance is SUPER tight. Theres only about 1/4' between the fan and the water pump. After about 8 zipties to pull it closer to the radiator, I got about 1/2' clearance which is more reassuring. Make sure your motor mounts are in order too as any forward engine flex could possibly mean either your water pump or fan motor are gonna have a bad day. The overflow tank mount could be better but once you've got the hoses on it, it wont rattle or move around much. I don't know what everyone is talking about how noisy it is. My fan is actually quieter than the mechanical one by a good bit. You can only maybe hear it with the windows down but if you've got any sort of exhaust you'll never notice it. I wouldn't bother getting the wiring harness either. I just wired mine in parallel with the aux fan so it comes on when the AC is on or when the coolant gets hot. Two wires and only took about 10 min. Overall it works great with the bonus of removing the time bomb that is the mechanical fan and you get about 6 more horsepower which doesn't do much but its pretty cool:D

Works well easy install
Bought this Mishimoto e-fan shrowd combo . The shrowd is just a metal frame to hold the e- fan and using some of the stock mounting areas. And Not like you think of a shrowd should be.It was mated to a CSF all aluminum radiator, being it all was for a bmw e36 they all fit like it should. The physical part of the install took about an hour and a half. The wiring and radiator coolant and bleeding took couple hours due to bleeding the coolant.I recommend getting the mishimoto install wiring harness.Because your able to adjust the e-fan temperature as needed.

Good alternative to the standard fan setup - but let down by the small things
First this was fitted to an Auto 1994 E36 325i convertible that had a completely standard cooling setup. Stock clutch fan and front pusher fan. Was fitted in combination with a Mishimoto radiator and header tank.Fitting was fairly easy. Main issues were the fitting of the header tank. Bottom outlet flange was TOO BIG for the hole in the shroud. For products at this price that are designed to fit together that is inexcusable. The mount at the top with the supplied H/W is shall we say a little dubious. Other fitting issue was that the radiator outlet hose is tool close to both the fan mount bolt and the tank return hose. If your hoses have thick walls then you will be in a world of pain! I used silicone hoses which are thinner so I was able to get it all to fit. I'm also not convinced on the design of the shroud - calling it a shroud is laughable. The holes in this do nothing for channeling airflow All it is, is a fancy frame. Final complaint is the hose mounting. The standard shroud supports a hose at both the top and bottom - Mishimoto's solution to this is to Zip tie them to the frame. Come-on you can do better!!!!.As I said - let down by the small things! Also there is not a lot of clearance between the water pump and the edge of the fan. - Will be monitoring that to see if it contacts at all - so might need to do my engine mounts. Now to wiring - Not sure about a manual BUT if you have an Auto you do NOT need the added fan controller, as the Auto it's already pre-wired for for the pusher fan up front. This fan was eliminated and removed - I kept that fans pusher shroud in place but removed the fan. I used the pusher fan wiring and a new standard temp radiator control sensor on the inlet side of the radiator. Take the wiring and plug from the old fan and Splice to the 2 wires supplied (Black to brown - Blue to the other 2) plug it in, and your fan will turn on when the thermostat opens and hot water gets into the radiator. As this is a road car not a track car I kept the temp sensor at standard temp not a cooler one. Running the engine too cool does it no good.

The overflow tank mount is not great but it is working for now
The fan itself is nothing special, you can get cheap fans. What you're buying is the aluminum mount that mounts it to the radiator. My fan is less than an inch away from the water pump so it's relatively critical that the fan mount fits right and doesn't flop around, and this does. The overflow tank mount is not great but it is working for now. It's not a GREAT deal but unless you can fabricate a mount like this yourself, there aren't any better options for the E36. Can't do without it.As for the low star reviews because of a crusty electric fan motor, this this has a warranty so I'm sure they'll replace it.

Doesn't even fit...
The product didn't even fit my radiator. Also when installing the expansion tank, it is not firmly held, and rattles around. Pretty disappointed with the quality of construction for the price I paid and the company that builds it.
