Reliable & Still Relevant
Portable and Engine OS still updating to this day. What's awesome about this controller is that it's battery-powered and has a built-in player (no laptop needed). It's very sturdy and has handled 3 years of gigs and counting!

Great unit
This unit is incredible. It is light not like a toy because it’s built tough as a tank, but it’s light enough to carry around without being uncomfortable and it does everything it’s supposed to do.

Denon is pulling ahead
I have an Opus Prime Quad and I actually like using this thing more, if you can imagine! Rekordbox isn’t doing anyone any favors, but Denon’s prime OS is so packed full of features you won’t be disappointed! It’s tiny, so you can pop in some headphones and practice in bed, for example (speaking from experience). The battery lasts a long time, the streaming is good quality (assuming you pay for it from your streaming service) and fast. Other major pluses: - Fixing the beat grid is so easy on this thing! Makes the Opus feel primitive. - Light controls built in. - Sturdy build - Decent screen size. My gripes are: - Can’t zoom very far out on the beatgrid, or align the play head to the left to take advantage of the full screen to align drops and whatnot. - To start it you have to push in the power button, wait, and then a logo comes on the screen and you have to hold down the logo for a few seconds. I assume this is to prevent someone from accidentally draining their battery by accidentally pushing in the power button. But honestly who’s traveling to their renegade rave with this thing in a backpack and not a hard case? Fools, that’s who. And for the rest of us we have to deal with this annoying startup sequence. I’ve forgotten to hold the logo every time now and wonder why it’s not turning on because I hit the power button and it starts to load. Then I get distracted and when I look back, it’s off! That’s about it for gripes, which is saying a lot for a DJ controller.

fantastic machine but many limitations
first of all this thing is awesome and i absolutely love it. that being said i probably wont be keeping it due to its numerous limitations/restrictions and having been djaying for 25+ years there are just some things i cant sacrifice. the build quality is exceptional, the menu/button layout makes a lot of sense but does take some getting used to. if this had the ability to hook up my external decks to it, and a couple open channels if needed this would be the end all be all machine. midi would be nice and the ability to map all of its controls to use as a controller would be really nice too

Big is not always better!
A grand piece of professional mobile equipment with updated software match the larger decks with all the bells and whistles!

The Ultimate Portable DJ Controller
The Denon Prime Go is an exceptional portable DJ controller! As a hobbyist DJ, I appreciate that it doesn't require a laptop, making it incredibly convenient for on-the-go gigs. The rugged aluminum construction gives it a durable feel, so I know it can handle the wear and tear of frequent use. Plus, the regular software updates keep it fresh with new features and improvements. I can confidently say I wouldn’t choose a different controller—this one has everything I need and more. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch performance in a portable package!

Denon was a trusted name....when we still used cassette tapes.
I purchased a Denon Prime Go only 3 months ago. After a software update it just stopped working. I read a bunch of forums and seemed to be a very common problem with the newest update. As it was still under warranty I wasnt too worried...but then I spoke with Denon.... Apparently they only offer their warranties to US citizens. They told me I could not send it back to the US (even on my own dime) but actually had to bring it there IN PERSON!!! I have lived in Thailand for 13 years....and round trip tickets (plus time off work) would have cost more than the unit! If Denon had been willing to help, I would have happily sent it somewhere and patiently waited for the return of this amazing product. But they had nowhere for me to send it to. It wasn't even an option. The fact is the tech just isnt there yet (and definitely not at such a low price). It is a fairy tale...too good to be true. They released it too early. There is a reason that none of their competitors are offering anything similar. A battery powered standalone controller with an amazing sound card for a reasonable price? Sounds nice.... In the end, I was so happy that I purchased this on Amazon and even if Denon does not honor their warranties, Amazon goes above and beyond to protect customers. Otherwise....I would have spent 1500 USD on a brick. Denon just are not what they used to be. Sad but true!
