Milwaukee Electric Tool GIDDS2-2475506 Step Drill Bit, 3/16" to 7/8"

Added a soft starter to my outdoor AC unit and it was too big to fit inside the unit. Needed to punch a hole in the metal to run the wiring from the outside to the inside to connect to the contactor and capacitor. I was dreading cutting a hole in the side that would allow water to get into the unit or worse off slide around while drilling and damage the coil or the wiring inside the unit. This Milwaukee stepped bit was extremely sharp and cut through like butter in the exact spot I wanted it I was able to easily stop drilling at the precise time so that the strain relief fitting would fit very snug and not allow for water to get inside the unit. I would not have been able to do it without this bit. Now that I own one of these bits I feel more confident on taking on projects around the house knowing that it is very sharp and easy to control to the exact hole sized needed.

The product was great, but delivery time was significantly longer than Walmart.

I needed a space saving drill set . They aren't cheap but you don't have to search your tool bow for the right size drill.

Not sure what the manufacturer was thinking but you can’t read the step sizes even with magnifier. Fortunately the most common 4 sizes have white band identifiers. The price was great so 4 stars.

Cumplió mis expectativas, tiene muy buena calidad y lo recomiendo fundamentalmente para mi la utilizo en las instalaciones de aire acondicionado ya que me sirve para abrir los orificios 3/4 para los cables de bajo voltaje.

I used it to cut a couple of 3/4" holes in 1/4" thick steel. Used a battery powered drill and ha no problems.

Needed to drill several holes (5/8 and 7/8 inch) in a new SS brew kettle. Drill 3/16 pilot - which was the hard part- kept the speed down and let the bit cool between holes. Very sharp and aggressive cut even in pretty thick stainless. Well worth it for this quality bit.
