Very good tasting white rice. No excess liquid. Doesn't try out when you microwave it as long as you follow directions. It has sticky texture which I like. When you don't have time or access to make rice in a rice cooker or on a stove, this is very convenient.

I've tried almost 10 different cooked rice & this has the best taste!!

Let me save the outset that I really enjoy Japanese rice, having grown accustomed to it during many trips to Japan. The ideal Japanese rice to my mind is slightly firm, grains are separated but sticking, taste is good not overwhelming, and not overwhelmed.This is by far the worst instant rice I have ever tasted and I include every brand available on Amazon and the available Japanese sites. Ottogi was my go-to but they recently changed the formula so I decided to try something else, since the quality of my usual had gone down slightly.My bad.Unfortunately we do not have room for a rice cooker no matter how small, given the layout of our kitchen. So I am limited to microwavable rice. If this had been my first experience of Japanese or Asian or even microwavable rice, I would probably never eat rice again. It's mushy, tasteless, noclumps together in little balls so that it has an almost farina like consistency. Absolutely awful. I cannot say enough bad things about it. Unfortunately.

Good quality precooked rice. Greatly convenient when I'm on a busy schedule.

First off.. This is my favorite brand of Japanese Rice. I believe the taste and quality is generally superior to most. I purchase both the regular and this instant version for convenience when i don't want to make a big pot. That said, this last batch purchased about a month ago that doesn't expire till Oct 2024 a few of the packets/containers so far were not consumable and had to be thrown out with what looks like mold to me. This brand expensive. So I'm not happy about it.

I like my own cooked rice much better.

Two of the 12 packs were not sealed and moldy, rancid juices came out. No returns or refunds were available.
