Update:I'm changing my rating to 4 stars because the company was very responsive and apologetic for my experience. They 100% stand behind their products and were disappointed to hear that my experience was less than acceptable. They offered a full refund or replacement. Customer service seems to be getting rarer and rarer, and this company stands out in a positive way!Original Review:If I could give this zero stars, I would. Worst piece of junk I've ever subjected myself and my kid to. Hardly any piece fits together right and once it is together, it doesn't stay together. No 'off' button for the robot so if you have battery in it, it just runs until it dies. It would have been really easy to add a switch to the kit. The pieces that are supposed to hold the wheels on do not grip strongly enough and they just fall off consistently. The solar panel does not fit in the head appropriately and keeps popping out. There are no tabs to connect the power wires to so you just have to wedge them in however you can to make it work. The boat section sits at a horrible angle. It was a really neat idea with very poor execution!

This robot was not easy for my son to put together but it was a lesson in time and patience. He learned a lot and was able problem solve to finish the project. It was a nice quarantine project.

I wouldn’t say this was suitable for a 14 year old. The age frame definitely needs to be lowered to 10 years old. I bought this for my 12 year old son to get him away from his video games but he put this together extremely fast all in one day. Very easy to assemble. The image appears to make the item look larger but it is kinda on the small side. But overall it was a good buy for the money.

Very surprising that there are a lot of little parts it's good quality but there is a lot of reading and a lot of little parts not suitable for a 9-year-old not really

There is a basic design flaw in the gear meshing. The solar panel and motor worked great, but the transmission has one simple flaw making it all worthless. The main gear shaft has too much play not allowing continuous meshing. Had to return it.After returning, the seller contacted to understand the design issue and offered a replacement. Although I declined any replacement, the seller was very helpful and willing to understand and resolve the issue. Adding two stars just for the seller communication.

We couldn't get this to work and received no response when we contacted the seller so the product has been returned.
