Exactly what I was looking for. Good quality.
It works as described and as expected. You must have a USB-C charger with power delivery supporting 15V, 3A mode for it to work. Less powerful 18W phone chargers will not work with Surface Pro.The connector is well-made, it attaches with the same force as my native power cable. There is a charging indicator light on the connector. The adapter will put the charger into 15V mode and draw variable current depending on what Surface needs. When charged, no current is drawn from the power supply.I've been annoyed by older Surface models lack of USB-C charging for a long time. Finally decided to look for a USB-C to Surface adapter and found this. Now I can charge my frequently used devices from a single compact charger, all at the same time.I already have several USV-C charging cables of different length. With this adapter, I can connect this adapter to a short USB-C cable to keep my desk uncluttered or a long one when I work elsewhere. Or use it with another computer's USB-C charger with the permanently-attached USB-C cable. It's great to have options.

Not a good quality cable
At first attempt, I didn’t get the order but on 2nd attempt when I got the order after a week, it didn’t work. Very disappointed as it was shipped without testing. Waste of time and money

Works as expected. Cannot say will last long, but build quality is very high so I suppose it will

Lights up, but not working
Looks and feels solid, but not working. I used to have a different adapter that worked with the same laptop and charger. This one only lights up, but doesn't charge the laptop.

Temporary
If you're in a pinch, it will do. Just know that it will not last for more than a few uses. This is your back-up plan, and not your main power supply.

Unlike the original charger, my unit only works in one direction
For some reason, the charging tips on this converter only seems to work when aligned top-down, with the cord pointing downward. If the other oritentaiton, then, my Surface 7 won't charge. I've not seen this behavior with other chargers.

a much better price than the Microsoft power cables
i bought this along with the Amazon Basics 65W One-Port GaN USB-C Wall Charger with Power Delivery PD and it charges my Surface Go 2 up super fast. Definitely would recommend this item.
