The switch solved the problem! I was actually suprised, as the old switch tested good with an ohm meter. I surmise that the condition of the contacts was flakey.

Fit perfect and works . Only time will tell how long it holds up . My original part lasted 26 years , I doubt this one ( made in China ) will make it that long . This part is under a lot of stress all the time , but even if it works for just a couple of years it’s worth it . Takes less than 5 min to install .

Worked great- for only 2 months
Stop switch worked upon installation, but stopped working after only 2 months of intermittent use. I would not recommend this product
