Best organizational option of 3 popular cases for an upper elementary kid
In wanting to help my upper elementary kid be more organized, I did some research on the top pencil cases (who knew there was really such a thing!). Three models that seemed promising were the Lihit Lab book style case A7551, the Easthill pencil case, and the Lihit Lab Large Double Pen case A7661. First off, all three seemed well made and like their craftmanship would withstand a hard life with an upper elementary kid. But it was the organizational details that really made the difference. If you don’t feel like reading the rest of the review, the Lihit Lab Large Double Pen case was the winner, but if you want to know why, read on!I ordered all three and then put the same equivalent supplies in each to see which worked best for my kid. For this exercise this included a mechanical pencil, extra lead, a regular pencil, a blue ballpoint red, a highlighter, a red pen, a 4-in-1 pen, a large glue stick, a pencil sharpener with a catcher, a dry erase marker, and a large eraser (not shown in the supplies photo but in each pen case photo). These supplies went into each of the bags and then I had my kid check them out. When ordering, I thought the Lihit Lab Book Style Case would be the winner. But the flap on the left side doesn’t have a bottom, which means that any item placed there should really have a clip, otherwise it could easily fall out (why the mechanical pencil is on the other side). Additionally, there’s no great area to have spares unless they’re front and center (and if your kid has a problem using one item and putting it back in its place, they could easily be overwhelmed with a row of identical pencils). But with the height of this case, a regular pencil wouldn’t fit on the other side with a bottom, so one would just have to be really careful to make sure it wouldn’t slip out when opening/using the case. I also thought the pockets when you “turned the page” to the next section would be really helpful, but as soon as my kid grabbed the case to close it, all the items in this area started falling out. On the right side of the “back flap” the glue stick extends beyond the dry erase marker, so that strap holds down the glue stick but then lets the expo marker fly. So if someone was an adult, or more careful and had supplies that were all the same depth (i.e. putting all one’s colored pencils in), this could work well. The Easthill had a lot of attractive qualities. The little flap that comes out for the most used supplies was nice, but it’s too short to fit a regular size pencil, so if someone prefers using regular-sized pencils, they would always need to go into the main bag of the compartment for one. Here the flap has individual slots for particular items, so each item has its own spot, but you can’t easily squeeze more items in than the six designated slots. Additionally, though it’s not needed here, if one were to be putting their spare pencils and other supplies in the pouch section, I could see how it could start spilling over into the flap section if it was too full. The last case is the Lihit Lab Large Double Pen case. This one was the goldilocks case for us. A full size pencil just fits, and even though it’s not very apparent here, we were able to stick a large eraser in the slot above the pens/pencils. The supplies didn’t fall out when my kid tried to close it either. And although the pouch side doesn’t open as wide, it’s fully separate and would easily hold extra pencils or items as spares, but not normally be visibe, as the “book” side really holds everything necessary for most school days. So, we’re keeping the Lihit Lab Large Double Pen case and we’ll see if it helps the kid stay better organized!

Large size-- Not huge!
- Size of pencil case is standard. I would classify it as a bit larger than average, but not big enough for people to call it huge, like the other reviews have noted.- On that note, it fits everything I need as a college student. The engineer student in me loves to have everything on me, but in an orderly fashion. I've posted pics, but it fits: scientific calculator, mini stapler, post-its, triangular ruler, 10 staedtler tripulus pens, and 4 pencils.- The blue color is very faded blue (Cornflower blue). The picture shown makes it seem like a cobalt-- which it definitely is not. But the color is still very pleasant, and is unisex.- The pencil case is from a Japanese company but made in Vietnam. However, the quality is very good, just wanted to point out that minor detail.

Great pencil/pen case for a college art student
Great pencil/pen case for a college art student! A semester of use has gone by and there have been no rips or zippers screwing up. It held my xacto and spare blades, about 5 mechanical/wood pencils, highlighter, and all my pitt pens in the "booklet" area. In the other area (the one with the white zipper) held my tin of erasers and sharpener. I would occasionally stuff my 3DS (not the xl) along too. It's the perfect size for any student who wants to keep only the minimal amount of supplies. The fabric doesn't get too dirty either. For the summer, I have been using it to keep my usb cords tidy and it holds all the ones I own. Will most likely be bring this onto my trips to keep my small items organized.

An all round 10!
The only reason why I would give this pencil case less than 5 stars is because the size of the pencil case is quite large (I have added a picture in comparison to some regular sized scissors so that you understand what I mean), but I was not careful enough to take the measurements so that was definitely my bad. However, I love the color of the bag, and it's quite spacious to store the enormous amounts of stationary I carry to and from university. I love how the front pocket has two mesh compartments because I can store post it notes and can protect them from folding, ungluing or otherwise becoming useless, which basically happens in all the other pencil cases I've used. I also absolutely adore the fact that it can hold everything in one place and how easy it is to organize your pens by just placing them in the elastic division or the mess pocket (which can also hold random small things like lead, clips and erasers).

Great pencil case, only issue is the eraser slot
This is a great pencil case! Roomy enough to fit all my pencils, pens, some Mildliners, and even my Apple Pencil! I also stick some post it notes and correction tape in the front pocket with no issues. Only problem is that a few days after I put an eraser in the eraser slot, the stitches in that area began to unravel. It seems to be a fluke, since the case itself is well built and continues to be great!

So much room for activities
I just got this pencil bag, and it is amazing how much it holds. I was able to fit all my planner supplies in it, which is no easy task:12 papermate flair colored pens, 1 ultra fine point sharpie, 1 mechanical pencil, 5 slim highlighters, kids size scissors, 6 in. ruler, 5 pk 3x3 in post-it notes, 5 pk 1.5x2 in post it notes, a thing of page flags, bottle of white out, and 10 rolls of slim washi tape. Now I can fit all my stuff into a single pencil bag, when I was carrying 2 before. It's a tight fit, but the case seems really sturdy, even being this full. I love all the pockets, and the blue color is nice and calming.
