Severin KA 5994 Espresso Maker „Espresa“, Stainless Steel

It’s a brilliant little machine that does what it’s supposed to. Great slim design and not very noisy compared to other machine. I’m very happy with it

Brilliant machine! Great tasing coffee and super easy to clean and use. Comes with 2 shot, 1 shot and a decaf pod which is fab! The Packer tool is perfect and well weighted. Milk frother works a hell of a lot better than other machines I’ve used, makes perfect foam for cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites.Only downside is after steaming milk the machine requires around 10 minutes to cool back down before it’s able to make espresso again. Bit of a pain if you’re trying to make consecutive coffees for multiple people.Other than that, it’s a superb kit, has enough power to properly concentrate espresso and froth milk. If you love coffee, it’s definitely worth it!

The machine broke after two weeks of use. The flavour of the espresso was decent and it's easy to set up and clean. The hot water feature (used for making tea and americano) is too pressurized -- water would splash out of shallower cups and so I would use my milk frothing jug to collect the water and then pour it into a cup. Not optimal, but not an untenable situation either. The milk frother did it's job but it wasn't great for the price of the machine. Had it not broken, I would have given it 3 stars -- not great, a little pricey, but it got the job done.However, the internal plumbing component somehow got stuck on the frother/hot water arm and I couldn't find a way to fix that. I need this machine more than ever now in the time of pandemic to pour coffee into my empty soul so the coffee part not working was a deal breaker. The return and refund process was easy, which was a pleasant surprise. I didn't like this machine enough to replace it with the same model and ended up buying a different brand with the refund.

Not as expected. Plasticky and "stuck on" stainless steel. The only solid part was the handle as far as I could tell. Returned for a refund. I will stay with Gaggia.

Had the machine a few years now, and an issue has arisen that is not described in the troubleshooting section of the user manual. There isn't an online forum for this company that owners can query, nor does there appear to be any customer support chat available.

Best product I’ve had, everyone raves about it

Good first impressions. It works fairly well so far (a few weeks now). It has a lot of electronic control embedded, probably more than I would request myself, but a rather primitive user interface. This interface comprises 4 monochromatic blue LEDs under the press-in buttons. Each of them (at least some) can be in any of the four possible states (OFF, Cont-ON, Low-Freq On, High-Freq On) and this light show is too indicate selected modes of operation, status and some equipment failures. Certainly not intuitive. I would rather see multiple colours separating status of normal operation from equipment issues. Somebody else was commenting that these buttons break easily and they indeed don't look or feel reliable and the LED light leaks across the button multiplying the cheap appearance. This applies to the frothing knob too. Nothing is broken yet in my system. though and coffee comes out as expected.
