Useful Tool
Nice knife. Very sharp. Perfect pocket size. Good everyday carry tool/knife. Some of the tools on the knife may not be used like the hook. It is a Victorinox so expect good quality.

Great version
Really good tool set on this model. If you’re wondering why this is a little more expensive than other models in this size range it’s because this model was assembled by hand rather than by a machine, and the parcel hook has a diamond file on the spine (not all parcel hooks have this feature). Models assembled by hand will also have the pin and micro driver installed. So it’s definitely worth the extra price. Excellent urban utility knife, one of the best they offer! Size is just right and grip has an additional slot for a pen along with the standard tweezers and toothpick.

THE Best EDC!
The Compact is the ideal EDC pocket knife and is one of the few models that is handmade at the factory. I have multiple (too many) Victorinox SAKs from the SwissChamp to the Cybertool and many of the smaller pocket knives. Only thing missing from this knife is a dedicated Phillips head but that’s not a dealbreaker. I’ve been to the factory in Switzerland and I’ve made a custom SAK, awesome experience, customer service, and quality.

Best model to gift someone who only needs or wants one Swiss Army Knife..,
Bought for my mother as a gift. She loves it! The compact packs a lot of tools into a slim 2-layer profile. I thought the file being on the back of the parcel hook was a unique touch, makes the knife look cool and in some cases, you can use the file as it sits in the tool, without deploying it.Very nice, unique, simplistic and makes a great gift!

The absolute best EDC knife for a reason
I have had at least 3 dozen knives over the years, but the Compact was my first EDC knife. Some years ago, on a trip to Japan, I lost it. In the years since, I tried to replace it with a SAK Climber with plus scales, but I missed the Compact. You wouldn’t think a couple of extra mm mattered, but it really did.As a result, I bought another recently, and perhaps to my delight, I paid less than what I paid for it originally! What folks don't tell you about the Compact is that the key ring placement is unusual. As a result, none of the pocket clip solutions that you see available for Swiss Army Knives will work with the Compact. Some will balk at the fact that the Compact is more expensive than other knives, but what they don't know is that the Compact is one of the very few knives that is still hand-assembled, and as a result, it carries a premium in the Swiss Army lineup. On paper, the most glaring issue with the Compact is the lack of a Phillips, but in practice, the combination tool is an excellent stand-in and can tackle most emergency situations that call for one. The Compact is especially well-suited for a tool when you're outside of the house because ostensibly, if you happen to be inside the house, it might be fine to carry a heavier knife or multi-tool.While you could carry a smaller keychain tool, you lose out on the larger-size tools that the Compact provides. It is the perfect balance of feature and function that has made it impossible to beat.

All you really need
Very slim 2 layer design that is all you need for urban carry. You can even put a jig saw blade under the hook in a pinch. All the tools are of good quality.

A little expensive for what it is, but a good base for an edc project.
Bought a couple of these for projects. The tool assortment is geared towards office and urban carry. Though for that purpose probably would be more useful to have the philips head. Very pocketable because it is only a two layer. The 2 things that makes this model unique is that the back hook has a nail file in it and that it is a 91mm model that swaps the small blade for the combo tool present on the bantam and waiter 84mm models.
