Great eyeliner for a great price. Glides on well and stays on.

Pro: I like the brown color, softness and it glides well with the sharp point along the eye line on both upper and lower lashes. I was careful to let it set for 30 seconds so it wouldn't smudge, and it lasted all day for me. I didn't remove it with anything, just washed my face with tepid water and in the morning nothing was on my silk pillowcase so that was fine with me. I can't comment on how waterproof it is, but it has great smudge resistance once set.Con: I've only used it once, so I have no idea how long it will last yet. It doesn't have a built-in sharpener and crayon is quite thin so I'm not giving it 5 stars until I've had it long enough. If Amazon allows an update, I'll do a followup review.

This review is for the Coffee brown color eyeliner pencil, and I like it. It's creamy, goes on smoothly, and after 30 seconds does not smudge. It retracts easily and is a good value. I plan to reorder it as so far it's my favorite eyeliner.Reviews seem to vary depending on the color.

I like e.l.f. products. Right now, they're circulating an adorable advertising video which I highly recommend watching. It's a hoot. And until now, all their products I've purchased did well for me.BUT...this one...failed me. In fact...I threw it out! Take it from me, I do not lightly throw things out. Especially during Frugal February, but I'd given up on this eyeliner.The problem? It was so hard, I couldn't draw lines. It was definitely not creamy. It was so smudge-proof, even pressing quite hard against my eye, I couldn't get a consistent line. I had to fill it in with the old eyeliner. That looked erratic. So, I broke down and bought their liquid eyeliner at the local discount store.I give this pencil eyeliner a 3 rating for that reason. e.l.f. is generally a great value. I had to wonder if it was that way because it was old? dried out? You might have better luck than I did.

I can’t believe I’ve been trying to make felt tipped eyeliners work for so long. Usually I put on felt tipped eye liner and it barely shows up, maybe my eye lids are watery or oily. So naturally within a hour or two it doesn’t even look like I’ve put on eye liner. This is not the case with this elf eye cream retractable liner. It actually shows up right away, it also lasts for hours. Even after 8 hours there was still some on my eyes, although I did need to re apply in some spots. It also didn’t smudge. For it to last at all and not smudge is amazing for me.I really like the coffee color for my blue grey eyes. It’s not as harsh as black with my pale skin. I like that no sharpening is needed and it’s retractable. Of course you can’t beat the price! I already bought another color and I’m sure I’ll be buying more in the future.
