I purchased these blankets specifically because they were small enough to fit in a 4.25X4.5X1 box which I was using to create a glove box first aid kit. The others I found online were way too big. This one is the perfect size and a totally affordable price. It comes in its own zip lock bag. I like that its hunter orange for visibility and had strux with if for people to refer to. It fit right into my kit and there was still room for to include acetaminophen, ibuprofen, alcohol and antiseptic wipes, and band aids. Perfect! I'm making one for everybody! Every camper or hiker should have one of these blankets. They weigh nothing, take up no room, and are sure to come in handy at some point.

These are pretty standard mylar blankets, but the price point simply can't be beat. You'll often pay five times as much for exactly the same product --- the one and only difference being that the much more expensive blankets come with some camo-and-stencil branding on their packaging to get the weekend warriors excited about buying their product. The different colours on these (especially bright orange) might be particularly useful if you're heading into the woods and want mylar blankets that will help make you that much more visible to others in case of emergency. They're neatly and compactly folded which makes them easy to slip into backpacks or emergency kits.

It's good to be stocked up. I used one for a few days camping this past fall to augment my sleeping bag. These are somewhere in between re-usable and disposable. Works as expected.

Handy in so many instances. I got one for every Christmas stocking to put in the car for emergency use. Also helps when a dry surface is needed for seating or picnics. Folds into tiny space!
