You get what you pay for
This is a "Realtek RTL8188CU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter", so it has good compatibility with Linux and Raspberry Pi (according to the community). I bought two adapters. When trying to remove the cap from one of them, its back came out instead, damaging the internal antenna. I was sent a replacement when I contacted the seller. The adapter works, but it was *VERY* slow! While I can get download speeds of 10Mb/s on my mobile phone and more than 13Mb/s on my notebook, with this adapter I could barely get 1Mb/s from the same router (on a Windows 7, 64bit PC with an i7 processor), even with an excellent signal strength ("full bars")! FWIW, I'm using a BT router with a 16Mb/s ADSL line. I went to the RealTek website, downloaded new drivers (for the RTL8188CUS) and the download speed increased dramatically, but it is still usually between 6Mb/s and 8Mb/s, while upload speed is about a third of the other devices. Overall, its a small device with a small price and small performance.

Good one!! I had earlier Belkin adapter and that was also good but it was bulky and worked nicely for 2+ years. But when that stopped working this time planned to buy new brand and I found COMFAST is perfect one after using it 3 weeks. . It is very small in size. . easy to install. . Its connectivity is good in 1000 sq. ft 2 BHK flat . No heating issue. . good product is this price . Nice built in quality even though its chinese. . I recommend ti buy for personal use.

The feature of transmit as well as receive Wifi signals for desktops is really amazing. Works at a good speed for decent Wifi signals. I have used it only for a couple of days. The first impression is very good though. If one is looking to make the desktop a wireless wifi receiver or transmitter can use this product for sure.

This is a good product. Hassle free installation on windows 7. Absolutely a piece of cake. Made my PC now a wireless capable machine for working with internet. - Just one click for installation. No problems , no error messages, no detection problems. My home router was fixed at a different wall. Needed my Desktop to have internet connectivity. This small little device was just the right thing to solve my problem. I have enough USB ports to have this occupy one permanently. I sincerely recommend this product. I was skeptical about the price difference between this and the other brands, but this one proved to be as good at it could be in spite of being one among the lowest price tags.

This works good as a wireless receiver on old laptops and pcs without inbuilt wireless receiver. I tried to use this as wireless transmitter to share wired internet from my laptop on to my smart phone / ipad but I couldn't make it work. There is no good documentation or videos on internet that illustrate how we can share wired internet using this as wireless transmitted. If it worked it would have been good in places like office, where we usually get wired internet and any internet access on mobile phone has to go through data plan. Still trying. I will update with details if I find any success
