I take this along with me to use in labs that have no mouse mats. It's sturdy and my mouse glides well on the textured side. The smooth side slide more freely, but is fairly loud. They include felt pads for your mouse if you want to use the smooth side, but I didn't want to use felt pads, I have nice slick mouse skatez on my mouse. So textured side it is, and works and tracks very well. Fits into my laptop bag easily, and I like that it is not floppy and is solid. However, at home, I prefer larger mousing surfaces that are more the traditional cloth kind that cover a larger area of my desk.

100% recommend, especially if you need to improve your mouse function on uneven surfaces. Stylish, functional and affordable.I made a keyboard tray for my desk out of a 2x12, and apparently the wood had some slight warping that is not noticeable to the naked eye BUT my mouse had a major problem with. Essentially, my mouse didn't work at ALL anymore. So I wanted a nice solid keyboard pad that would be truly flat and rigid enough for my mouse to work again...and this EXCEEDED all expectations. It is thin, good looking (I got black), and my mouse works great again! I will note that I prefer to use the mouse on the 'pad' side, not the metal side, because I think the metal side is a little noisy/scratchy when moving my mouse. But it is silent on the pad side, more comfortable, never cold, and there is no frictional resistance when moving my mouse around on it. It also came with sticky pads (optional to add), that I put on the metal side to prevent any minor slipping. It is extremely affordable and great quality!

This mouse pad is beautiful, and perfect after removing the PU leather side (which peeled off completely cleanly, leaving no residue on the aluminum). Have chemical sensitivities and the PU side had a very strong, unpleasant odor, so I figured I'd try removing it rather than return the item since the clean aluminum side was just what I had been searching for. The side under the PU is exactly like the other side (perfectly smooth, mouse glides effortlessly), and looks really beautiful and elegant. This should last forever and not become a landfill item EVER since aluminum is 100% recyclable. Seller, please offer this without the polluting PU leather.

I have a heated desk pad that I use for work - all black, didn't need a mouse pad, worked well - until it didn't. As time and use increased, the area for my mouse began to get sticky - no matter how often I cleaned it, the area was getting progressively harder to use my mouse on. I'm not a fan of traditional mouse pads for the same reason. This has solved all of those problems. The mouse glides super smoothly and it's easy to clean with no buildup. It's the perfect size for my use and the rose gold color is a nice change from the basic black I normally have. While the metal does get cold, when I turn on the heat for my desk pad (the mouse pad is on top of it), it warms up as well which I really like.Regarding other reviews that commented on the "scratchy" noise, I can say it's from the mouse, not the pad. I had similar issues with my original mouse, but it was fixed by applying the pads that were included with this pad. When I changed to a different mouse, no pads were needed and it's virtually noiseless.

They could include some tape so the mouse doesn't make noise when we drag it.

It's hard surface mouse usage, using this plate. It's fine, and keeps the mouse bottom cleaner, but feels hard to the touch.I wonder if a track pad is simply better than using a mouse and this hard pad?I'll get a track pad and then edit this comment.

This mouse pad works well for me. With this pad, you have the choice of using one side or the other. The dark side seems the best for everyday uses like work and tedious basic tasks. This side is less responsive and helps me to focus on where the cursor is. The silver side is more responsive to mouse movement and is sometimes difficult to pinpoint where the cursor is. I can adjust the DPI of the mouse to compensate but don't use this side much. Easy to clean as well. Recommend the purchase.

This is a very good mouse pad, it can be used on either side. Mouse tracks very accurately.

This does not have a rubber coating or support corner on other side and slips on the regular table and similarly will slip on the well-made bed. Hence making it a not so good mouse pad.It is a aluminum plate with thin sheet of foam attach to its side, only reason it is not a 1-star product because I can easily paste a rubber grip on the other side to make it usable. But that Rs 10 should have been spent at source rather than at customer point.

This product is excellent for the price. Sturdy and profesionnal look. Very good response from the mouse. I would highly recommend.
