I downgraded the rating to 4 as a small number of the biscuits contained "small chunks" of wood that made the biscuit thicker than the required 5/32. It has been several years since my last order and don't recall this ever happening in years past so perhaps quality control has lapsed a bit. In any case it is not a big deal to work around. In spite of the many alternatives for joining (domino, dowels, pocket hole) I still like the alignment help these provide.

These biscuits are well made with good dimensional tolerances, especially in thickness. Biscuits from another brand I've used frequently are too thick and consequently need to be driven into the slots with a mallet - which results in the glue spattering-out. Possibly not a coincidence, this product is USA manufactured.

Never buy this item. Very bad , all of them different thickness, most of them unusable, very loose or very thick. Found like 6 different thickness. Don't have time or waste time to return these very cheap items.

Good quality, standard thickness. The tub I received was a squatter version of the photo on the listing. I received 102 wholes in my tub, with 1 broken and 1 knot. I have used about 400 of these PC biscuits over the years, and they continue to be a consistent thickness compared to others. It's important to keep your biscuits dry until used, since moisture will swell them. You want them to be dry so when you do your glue up, they expand slightly for a tight joint.

Great biscuits. I have been using P-C biscuits for over a decade and they are first quality biscuits that make for strong wood joints. The compressed wood in these biscuits swell significantly when wetted with wood glue producing a nice tight joint. I see no reason to try any of the bargain brands of biscuits and be penny wise and pound foolish. (Cost of wood and my time and efforts far overshadow any premium paid for these biscuits.)
