Brabantia original spare lid for touch bin 50 litres matt steel fingerprint proof

Excellent replacement for the old model. It actually even fits tighter on the can and hold the trash bag in place better. The lid also has a nice textured matte surface and it's concave. It's strangely pleasant to touch. The stainless rim is brushed and not polished, so it doesn't match the can exactly, but it's pretty close and doesn't look strange.

Worked great on our 10+ yr old can that finally had the push mech break. Fit perfectly.

This was bought as a replacement lid for my Brabantia 50l bin, that is over ten years old. The finish on the lid isn't exactly the same as my original bin, as the lid has the fingerprint resistant coating on it, but you can't tell the difference just by looking at it, you can just feel that it's smoother than the rest of the bin. The soft touch lid is also different, as it is textured rather than smooth like the original lid, but if I am honest, I prefer the textured feel anyway. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone whose lid has broken and is outside the 10 year warranty period.

When the small catch on our bin lid broke after many years we thought we may have to purchase a whole new bin. This replacement lid saved us forking out more than we needed to and also saved the environment with less waste. Thank you.

I had my 50 litre bin for years. I was gutted when the lid finally gave up. I didn't realise how many times a day I touched the lid for rubbish so I couldn't complain that it was broken. I have brought a now lid and now it's as good as new. What a fantastic idea Brabantia to sell spares I am well impressed. Shame others don't do this too.

Replacement for ancient bin lid, on 4th catch, hinges eventually broke. New lid, like new for half the cost of a complete new one

The spring on my Brabantia died after about ten years of daily use, and while £32.50 seems like a lot for just a lid, it's better than spending a hundred quid or so on a whole new bin. Fits, works and looks like the original. Free postage and fast delivery always nice.
