Great Tool
Anyone who likes to maintain their own bike absolutely needs one of these in their tool kit arsenal. Prior to using this chain cleaner, I was simply lubing my chain and wiping off any grime that had accumulated over time. Realizing that I couldn’t get my chain super clean this way, I remembered selling this cleaning kit when I worked at a bike shop way back in the day and thought I’d give it a try. I’m very impressed. Following the easy-to-use instructions, my chain was super clean within 10 minutes after use. I used this kit multiple times since my wife’s bike chain needed cleaning as well and it worked like a charm. It does take a lot of cleaning solution, however. The kit comes with a bottle of cleaning solution that should get you through 3-4 cleanings before having to purchase another bottle.Overall durability of the kit is great. It’s built well and very easy to install/uninstall. Just get ready to get a bit dirty. I wear protective gloves and my garage clothes when cleaning my bike so I’m not worries about ruining my clothes. For the value of being able to clean your own drivetrain, this kit is well worth the money. It’s takes very little time to use and even comes with a brush for cleaning your cassette (gears).Great product!

Pricey, but worth it.
Unit worked very well. Instructions say to use the cleaner, then use soapy water. One bottle of cleaner is 3 to 4 cleanings. I use some dish soap twice and then rinsed well with water. Dried the chain with rags, then blew dry with compressed air. Chain looks great. Used a good chain lube when I was done. Kit was easy to use and is much stronger plastic than the last one I used. It is more expensive than the other cheap ones but I think it was worth the cost.

Easy to use!
I have never cleaned or maintained my bike chain until I bought my new bike. I learned the importance of maintaining my bike chain. This tool made the cleaning process so easy and seamless and the entire process took no more than 30 mins. Amazing tool, fairly priced and well built.

Great job with cleaning bicycle chains!
This is a great solution if you don't have a garage or space for a proper bike stand. It took a while to remove the muck from my chain but now that it's in good condition, it'll be a lot easier to keep clean. I'm very happy with how well this product worked! 👍🏼

Great way to clean entire chain without the mess of removing and re-installing.
The cleaning functionality works great as there are brushes that clean all parts of the chain. While it was designed as a one-person tool, you will need the chain to stay flat as any slight angle messes up the cleaning function and can spill the cleaning fluid. If you plan on just flipping the bike upside down if you don't have a repair stand, you will have to adjust the seat to make sure chain is level flat. Also, the chain is pretty snug in the case so you need to keep it steady to avoid shifting while turning the crank.

It works great, and it was far less messy than I expected!
Prior to buying this product, I just occasionally used an aerosol can that was supposed to be a degreaser/lubricant combined. It, along with some rags, did a decent job on the chain, but I never had any tool to clean the sprocket. After reading the reviews on this product, I was impressed and decided to give it a try. Here are my impressions: The instructions were very easy to follow. I don't have a bike stand, so I leaned the handlebar of the bike up against a wall, inserted the chain into the device and moved the pedal backwards to degrease it. (I soon discovered that the bike wanted to move backwards, so I had someone help me hold the brake to prevent that movement. If I were doing it by myself, I would simply tie something around the brake control on the handlebar in order to keep it engaged.)Rather than using the supplied degreaser, I used Simple Green, which is much cheaper, and worked really well. The brush used to clean the sprockets got them cleaner than they have been in 10 years, but I did notice a few bristles from the brush got stuck in the chain. They were removed with a little effort. After degreasing everything, I emptied the contents of the plastic container, cleaned it out, and started to lubricate the chain. Overall, this method of cleaning/degreasing was not nearly as messy as my old method. That came as a total surprise to me, as I was expecting somewhat of a mess. After finishing everything, I took the bike for a test ride. I started hearing a strange noise coming from the rear wheel, but I had a hard time isolating it. After some time, I found out that problem was the Simple Green had removed the lubricant from the wheel bearings. After I re-lubed that, there was no sound at all, and everything ran smoothly.
