I bought this because when the power goes out for my pellet stove it would fill up the house with smoke. This runs the pellet stove long enough to get rid of the smoke and shut the unit down exactly what I needed.

So the day after i got this and hooked it up, my power flicked off for no apparent reason - which it's been doing in our area lately and one reason I got it.. and it worked.. my computer stayed on.. and it helped block the surge of power.. i have my router, computer and backup external drive hooked up to this.. for added protection to these three devices that i don't want to see fry over a silly power surge. I will be getting one for my hubby's computer. I watched his go off while mine stayed on and was protected during the power flicker.. Good value for the money too. I use to buy these years ago and they were more expensive back then. I recommend this one for sure. it's worth it to protect your expensive equipment.

received in well packaged box with everything included. clear instructions for hooking up battery (shipped disconnected) feels like a high quality product but I wish the outlets were spaced further apart as many plugs these days are oversized. An update on how well it performs in a power outage will have to wait. all the outlets are surge protected but only half of them have back-up power on the battery. Not really a problem but it didn't seem to be advertised in the product description.
