I bought this for a rope splicing project to add it at the end of my fid and it worked wonderfully. As the braided sleeve worked like a chinese finger trap, it was used in my project to trap and hold the rope as it was being fed through. Sorry if this wasn't helpful for someone seeking an answer to use it over wire.

Bought this last year to act as a chinese finger trap sort of device to hold various diameter line as I fish them, through. After many uses of the same pieces they still expand and contract, grabbing my lines well (slippery dyneema at that from 4mm up to 8mm and will accommodate larger) and have not deteriorated. I'm sure that the intended use of neatly organizing wires/cable, etc will work great too. There was a nice amount included in the roll

I used this to wrap a 3-wire trailer feed about 12' long. This is a sleeve, it is not split down the middle like most. When I started I thought it was going to be impossible to feed the wires through it. But, using an inch-worm motion at the start of the sleeve I was able to feed the three wires through in just a few minutes. Now I can run that all the way back to the taillights and it is protected from heat, debris, etc. This product impressed me enough to write a review, which I rarely take the time to do. Highly recommend.

Bought this to use for splicing. It works, but does fray a lot once its cut and handled. You cant burn the end or you wont be able to expand it to pass rope/string through. It also looses a little constriction after its used a bit, but seeing as how Im using it for an unintended purpose, I cant be too critical.

This and a knitting needle are all you need made the job very easy.

Just what I needed!

works well until you cut to your desired length. As soon as you cut the excess the unraveling begins. I would suggest you hit the ends with a solder iron or lighter to sear it together and prevent the unraveling.
