For Those Looking for 'Restorative Conditioner' by Shea Moisture!
Natural Silver Curls drama: I could not find the Restorative Conditioner anywhere. I usually ordered it on amazon, but recently I could not find it. Checked the stores, checked Shea Moisture website the works. All searches return with this product. I have used this Retention Conditioner in the past but the mix was different. The one thing I noticed is the color of the product. The original Retention formula was beige and smelled differently. I noticed all the new pictures of the product showed a bright white formula. Not knowing if this was just a camera color issue or a brand change, I ordered one small bottle. When it arrived, I immediately yanked the cap off it and smelled it and rubbed in my fingers. The ingredients are the same, just worded alil differently probably for legal reasons. This is Restorative Conditioner with a different label and name but the product is the same. So if you are searching for the only 'silver curl sealer' by Shea Moisture, you found it. Wish everyone involved could have clued me in, but in any case my curls are happy. It is the only product I use on my 3 feet of salt and pepper natural curls.

Outstanding product...
Couldn't wait for this conditioner to arrive. It came quickly and did not disappoint. Living in the high desert I fight dry skin and hair daily but recently I was ill and the medication I was on really damaged my hair. Dry, brittle with an odd frizz. At first I used as a conditioner in the shower but using that way did little for my hair. Next time I used a my regular deep conditioner after shampooing then lightly towel dried my hair..just enough to remove the dripping. Then I wet my hand and put pencil eraser amount of the Shea conditioner on my palms and rubbed my hands together. Then ran my hands thru my hair focusing on the bang area which was the most damaged area. It blew out nicely but was still dry. Did this every other day for the 1st week and now week 2 it is looking better still. I will probably do this routine forever because of our dry environment. This product is all natural, has a wonderful fragrance, is easy to work with and is really restoring my hair. And let me say this...I am an older white woman. Highly recommend.

Perfect for 3b Tight Curly Multiracial Hair
When my chemical allergies got so bad that I couldn't use Ouidad's products anymore, I discovered Shea Moisture on the advice of a friend. Wow, I have not been disappointed. It's a crime how much I've spent on hair products before discovering this conditioner. My only complaint is that it's tough to get it out of the bottle. They should actually switch the dispenser and put it on the shampoo and move the shampoo's tiny little spout to the conditioner.I have type 3b really tight curly multiracial hair that I keep natural in a very round afro. I constantly get compliments on my hair after having washed it with this conditioner. It leaves my hair soft and with no overpowering fragrances (I love that they use essential oils but I don't want people to be able to smell me from a mile away). I can often get away with not using any product after this. Yes, you didn't read that incorrectly. NO PRODUCTS AFTER THIS. It's not an every day thing by any means but that I've been able to get away with it at all says how great this product truly is.

Soft hair
I rarely ever spend this much ($9-$10) on hair products, but I'd say it's worth it. I have thick, shoulder-length hair. It's generally pretty low maintenance, but it's been getting dry with the weather and harsh water, so I bought this. It's a pretty large bottle, and it leaves your hair very nice and soft. My only complaint is that it comes in the pump bottle--I usually get ready at the gym most mornings, and I can't toss a pump bottle in a gym bag w/o fear of a mess. Also, you need a good 5-6 pumps to really get out enough conditioner to get through your hair. But the conditioner is good--especially if you have the time to leave it in for 5+ minutes.

The best leave-in conditioner I've ever used
The best leave-in conditioner I've ever used! I didn't see any results that were fantastic enough to write home about when using this as a rinse-out conditioner, but when I'd used nearly the whole bottle, I finally noticed that it could also be used as a leave-in conditioner. Oops, guess I should read packages more closely! I have medium/chin-length hair that is heavily color-treated/bleached - I bleach my whole head & dye it funky colors. This last round of bleach combined with the dry Minnesota winter really did a number on it - my hair was looking awful. Using about a quarter-size amount of this product on gently towel-dried hair has worked wonders for it & completely brought it back to life after just a day or two. I swear by this product now - not only that, a bottle will last a good long while if you're just using it a bit at a time, and it's cruelty-free! Yes! All great things!

Leave in or rinse out?
I bought this because I was looking for a new deep conditioner. I previously was using ORS' Olive Oil Replenshing Conditioner but I ran out and wanted a change. It seems like everyone is always raving about Shea Moisture so I wanted to give this brand a try. According to the directions of this product, it can be used as a deep comditioner and a leave in. As a deep conditioner, my experience was below average. My hair didn't feel very soft and it seemed as if the product just sat on top of my hair instead of penetrating the cuticle. As a leave in, this product fairs a little better. When using the LOC (liquid oil cream) method it leaves my hair soft and shiny and I prefered it to the creamy leave in that I used in the past (Cantu Shea Butter). However, after my experience with it as a deep conditioner, I went back to my ORS deep conditioner. This just proves that a larger price tag doesn't necessarily mean a better product.
