The was the reference book I was looking for: systems, vitamins and minerals, problems, signs and symptoms, prevention measures, herbal treatments, homoeopathic treatments, herbal supplements, essential oils, materia medica - it has it all. So why only 3 stars? Because it has no page numbers and no index. The table of contents is called an index but is in the front of the book. There are no page numbers, so the chapters and sections are only listed. You have to flip through the pages to find the corresponding material. I'm guessing it was made for Kindle, and it is a shame that someone didn't take the time to properly format it for paperback. That said, I would not purchase a Kindle copy. Kindle is great for fiction, but not for reference material, which is what this book is. So, I'm writing in my own page numbers because I think it the material is worth it. Without an index, however, this book isn't as valuable as it could be.

This is a wonderful book. It has a great deal of information and I derived quite a bit from it. What was really nice about it is that the author lists the dosages. Additionally, he gives credit where due and references other herbalists such as "Juliette de Bairacli Levy" (my favorite). If you are raising your livestock naturally without antibiotics and regular type medicines, you need to add this book to your library.

If it only had an index and page numbers, it would be 5 stars. Otherwise it's a good book for a goat loving person.

Love it! My friend and I are going to use it well with her boer goats! I'm studying to be a vet and I want to specialize in goats so this book helps me!

A thoroughly enjoyable read. Chalk full of pertinent information of natural goat rearing and care. Written in a simple and easy to read format. Highly recommend to other goat enthusiasts alike.
