This added some fun to our summer
Absolutely love this paddle board. When inflated you really cannot tell it apart from a solid board. I really like that it deflates quickly and can be put in the back of a car. The kids spent lots of time paddling and swimming off of it. It's very sturdy and difficult to tip over.

So convenient and the envy of my friends!
Finally a SUP that I can transport easily in my car. The possibilities are endless! My friends have paddle boards and I’ve been jealous! I was thrilled when this inflatable one came up for review. My husband thought it was a terrible idea because he never thought it would be hard enough to stand on and would always have a lot of give that would make it unstable. Boy was he wrong! It is so firm when standing on it you would not know that it was an inflatable. It gets really firm and pretty quick. At first I thought the included gauge was not working because even at 0 PSI it felt pretty sturdy. The instructions do not recommend using electric air pumps. The first time I inflated it solely with the included pump. The pump hooks into the SUP while inflating so it is very easy to secure making it a one person job. It took roughly 8 minutes of just pumping time. I had to stop and take a few breaks along the way. Once it gets to 10 PSI it is pretty tough to pump. By 12 PSI is was very difficult. You can get the kids to go help in the early part of blowing it up, but after 10 it gets too tough for them. I have found it best to use a battery operated pump and use it to get it to 8 PSI and then hand pump it the rest of the way. The included hose easily attached to the battery pump. The battery pumps are not nearly as powerful as our regular compressor so I feel as though it is a safe option as long as it was closely monitored. Using a manual pump does not sound as though it would be that tiring but it felt like a work out to me. The air cap was nice and had a valve that did not let air out when you unhook there pump. It is amazing how firm it is! It comes with what looks like water wings that slide over the 2 stationary fins that protect them while on land. I was able to stand in the board to test the firmness and the fins were protected. The larger center fin is very easy to use. There is a plastic strip that you slide out and then simple slide the fin in the grooves. There is a tab that is connected with a strong that goes perpendicular to the fin that secures it in place. It took less than 30 seconds and required no tools or strength. The board is big and very long. It can be difficult to maneuver based on its awkward length. It has a handle in the middle and center of the board which allows you to carry it alone with one arm. The material is very thick and durable. I was worried about shells but it is nearly as strong as the life boats. The size makes it very stable. It is dead winter and even in the south east it is too cool to get wet. If it was any less stable I would have not felt comfortable trying it with the water temperatures capable of causing hypothermia. I have picked a couple of warm days and tested it out in a pond in my Dad’s back yard.Despite the windy conditions the fins allowed me to steer the paddle board with little problems. It was easier to use than I expected. I would have thought that with the length it would have been difficult to turn but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. I feel as though it is sturdy enough that I would take my kids with me once the water warms up. The footing is cushioned and I am able to get very secure footing on it. I have a 9 and 6 year old and it may be too much for them to handle alone, but I feel pretty certain that if I got another paddle they could work it together. I can foresee this being a swimming platform while out in the boat as well. It is stable enough the kids will be able to climb up on and dive off. This is much safer than climbing on and out of the boat with the motor in the way. This is the perfect toy for our beach lifestyle. We live in an island on the sound which is perfect for SUP boards. We also live 10 minutes from the ocean which I am hoping to get my skill level up and have calm enough days to use it there. I was jealous of my friends boards and now they are all jealous of mine! It is much more convenient to be able to fold it up to store it. They have a hard time maneuvering theirs in the wind to get it on and off their cars and walk it to the beach. Mine is conveniently in the backpack that is very easy to carry and store. It is large enough you don’t feel like you are wrestling it back in the bag. The pump also fits. This is going to bring my family so much fun this summer and can’t wait to take it on our primitive camping trip to the sand islands. The paddle is adjustable to different lengths. It is lighter than I imagined it would be. It is pretty standard and gets the job done. The board does have a place to tie a rope too which is nice.Overall it seems like a large investment but I think the quality meets the price point. It is something the whole family can use. I am glad I waited and got an inflatable because I can take mine so much easier that I will use it more and my board is always secured in my car and I don’t have to take time to use roof racks and straps. Living in an island and crossing high bridges is sometimes difficult for SUP and surf boards. It can’t get costly dings either! There is a nice quality repair kit if it does get a rip or tear. This is a really nice quality board and everything from the bag to the pump are nicely made with attention to details! As long as all goes as expected we will be purchasing another one this summer, because they are that great!

Valve broke after three uses
I loved this SUP! However, after only three outings the valve stopped working correctly. To deflate, you twist the valve down. After the three uses the valve is Stuck and I have to physically push down on it the whole time to deflate. So basically, we need two people to break it down now. Plus I’m worried that I’m going to take it on a trip now and it will stop working all together.

The Hole Shebang
I really kind of don't know what to do about this review. You see, it's winter, of course, and even here in the Deep South, we don't really wanna get in the water. It's just a wee bit too cold. But when I had the opportunity to check this out, and seeing as how we have plenty of lakes and such nearby, I had to try. This is very sturdy. It all comes in a wonderful large backpack that is plenty big enough to carry the deflated board, pump, fin, and paddle. And given the size, it was much lighter and easier to carry than I expected. The top is nicely textured, so your bare feet can feel stable on it even when wet. I was also very pleased with the thickness and rigidity of the material the board is made of. I had been a bit skeptical that anything this large could maintain enough structure on water, what with being inflatable and all. That doubt has been removed. After looking it over really well, we decided to wrap it back up to store it until spring. That's when we noticed what appeared to be a nasty hole along one side. You can see fibers sticking out, so I think it's fairly deep. We were incredibly careful when we had this out, and even kept it on the bubble wrap it was shipped in, so I don't think we caused it (and if we did, as gingerly as we were treating it, I don't know I'd trust it in the water). Additionally, the box was in pristine shape - no holes or other obvious damage from shipping. So, I'm impressed with what I've seen, but I'm pretty bummed about the hole. It does have a patch kit, so I supposed we'll give that a try. Hopefully it works.
